As expected, RNC chair Ronna McDaniel has announced her resignation.

Next step is for Trump to install Whatley, his son Eric, and his daughter-in-law Lara to control the RNC money.

A scheme of using one trial date to postpone the others and continuing to hopscotch down the road until it's after the November 2024 election.

Trump’s plan to use Judge Aileen Cannon to block Judge Tanya Chutkan and avoid trial | CNN Politics

    excerpt:

"One way to hamper Chutkan is to convince the judge in Florida, Aileen Cannon, to move Trump’s Mar-a-Lago document mishandling trial from late May until the summer.

Then, as summer approaches, the Mar-a-Lago case may require Cannon to push the trial back again and again because of the legal complexities around classified documents that still have to be worked out, according to people familiar with the case."

It's hell for Trump and also for the country because of him.

The American public is presented a presidential candidate with 91 felony charges against him, a criminal trial that starts on March 25, 2024, and a half-billion dollars of judgments against him in civil cases, one of which concluded that he committed civil rape.

Biden has none of that, yet he is still struggling in the polls against Trump.

If Biden was issued a jaywalking citation, he'd be out of the race for sure.

Trump holds 6-point lead over Biden despite legal woes: Poll | The Hill

    excerpts:

"A Harvard CAPS-Harris poll found Trump with 48 percent to Biden’s 42 percent in a head-to-head race, with another 9 percent of registered voters unsure who they would back between the two."

"If Trump is convicted of trying to influence the 2020 election results in Georgia, he’s still the favorite to win, with 52 percent to Biden’s 48 percent.

If he’s convicted for inciting the riots at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, his lead extends to 8 points, with 54 percent to Biden’s 46 percent.

And if he’s convicted of crimes related to his handling of classified presidential documents, voters are split 50-50 on who to vote for."

Trump is doing better against Biden is he's convicted of starting a riot at the Capitol.

In that case, Trump should want his trial as soon as possible and a guilty verdict

Trump says the current stock market is doing well because of him (while he's not in office) but warns it will crash if he's not elected in 2024.

Trump warns the market will crash if he loses. Investors just laugh | CNN Business

    excerpt:

“If we lose, you’re gonna have a crash like you wouldn’t believe,” Trump said at a campaign rally on Friday. He went on to say a loss for him would spark “the largest stock market crash we’ve ever had.”

The following is a fictitious one (but within the realm of possibility for the current state of mind of Americans):

Trump's lead over Biden expands to 65-35 when voters were asked their preference if Biden was caught in a supermarket with 9 items in the 8-items-or-less lane.

Michigan 2024 Poll: Trump 46%, Biden 44% - Emerson Polling

    excerpt:

"The economy is the top issue for 31% of Michigan voters, followed by immigration (13%), threats to democracy (12%), healthcare (10%), housing affordability (8%), education (7%), crime (7%), and abortion access (5%).

“Voters who say the economy is the top issue facing Michigan break for Trump over Biden, 56% to 33%, along with immigration 86% to 7%,” Kimball said. “Those who say threats to democracy break for Biden 76% to 19%.”"

Trump has done a psychology job on the voters.

People in MI now care more about immigration than threats to democracy (Trump), healthcare (that Trump wants to sabotage), housing affordability, education (Trump says he will terminate the Department of Education), crime, and abortion (the rights to which Trump took away from women via his Supreme Court appointments).

In the past six decades, immigration has usually been a low priority for the general public during a presidential election year.
