Trump and his sons are saying that the banks made money off their fraudulent activities.

Under NY law, that doesn't negate the fraud.

Trump doesn't understand NY law.

He doesn't understand GA law, either. He and his attorneys should have reviewed GA RICO laws carefully before he, Meadows, and the rest of the gang stuck their noses into GA and tried to overturn the 2020 election.

Trump doesn't understand tax law either. His CFO, Weisselberg, was convicted in NY for not reporting on his tax returns income that he had received from Trump's businesses (money for rent, a vehicle, tuition for his grandchildren).

When Weisselberg was being investigated, Trump (who has said he knows more about taxes than everyone) asked his rally attendees if it was illegal to do what Weisselberg did. Trump asked, "Does anyone know?"

Perhaps Trump (who says he has the best memory in the world) simply couldn't remember the basic facts about taxes.

 

Glad that the UAW saw right through his bullshit....Even though, the UAW will cut off its nose just to spite their face...

Trump is probably up at 3 am pondering being reelected, making the convicted and Trump-pardoned Flynn head of the Pentagon, sending troops to NY to arrest James and Engoron, and recovering control of his properties.

 

The DOJ under Bill Barr dropped the charges against Flynn in May 2020 after he had already been convicted. Trump subsequently pardoned Flynn of any and all possible charges in November 2020.

Barr gave Trump a backdrop for his pardoning of Flynn. Trump wanted a similar maneuver by Barr of declaring the 2020 election corrupt to be used as a backdrop to send the election to the state legislatures for overturning

If reelected, bad-faith DOJ maneuvers and presidential pardons are two approaches Trump could use to protect himself from the two current federal criminal cases against him (election interference case in DC and government documents case in FL).

 

Trump wanted a similar maneuver by Barr that would declare the 2020 election corrupt to be used as a backdrop to send the election to the state legislatures for overturning

Flynn was one of Trump's cohorts involved in trying to overthrow the 2020 election. Flynn wanted to use the military to seize voting machines and redo the 2020 election.

Ironically, Flynn (Trump's first and former U.S. national security advisor in 2017) was back with Trump all over again in December 2020 trying to overthrow the election by proposing the same type of maneuvers that were used to drop criminal charges against him: have AG Bill Barr create a favorable backdrop first by declaring the election corrupt as a predicate to overthrowing it later (as Trump reportedly said, just declare the election corrupt and leave the rest to me and Congress).
