Trump has chosen to take a course where he imposes tariffs and then selectively picks which country might be worthy of an exemption based on his opinion of how well they respond to his vague threats and demands.

The world turns on Trump over tariffs

The world turns on Trump over tariffs

    excerpt:

"“The problem is when you say, ‘All right, let's have tariffs, but let's couple that with uncertainty’ — that's almost worse,” Sen. Jeff Flake, an Arizona Republican pushing legislation to block the tariffs, said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “And where one person is basically deciding, you know, tariffs go up or down depending on what kind of behavior … It's not the way to do business.”

The uncertainty has already spooked the stock market and spurred protests from industries as diverse as car parts manufacturers and soybean farmers which, until now, had cheered the president’s deregulatory agenda. Many warn they will likely raise prices on consumers because they will be forced to pay more for equipment and materials while facing retaliatory tariffs overseas."

Rumor is that Stormy has evidence consisting of a used extra-small condom that was left behind at the scene.

How Trump's foreign policy threatens to make America weak again
The president talks a tough game – but he has alienated allies. And the more he tries to assert US leadership, the less of a leadership role he plays

How Trump's foreign policy threatens to make America weak again

    From the article:

"What is outlandish is the almost entire absence of any diplomacy in Donald Trump himself. Take the flap over Nato’s article five on collective defense: the very essence of the military alliance. At the new Nato headquarters in Brussels, he dropped a planned endorsement of article five, deeply unsettling his Nato allies.

Then, several days later, after a deluge of complaints from friends and critics alike, Trump finally endorsed the alliance’s key principles while standing next to the Romanian president in the White House rose garden. For a reality TV star who prides himself on his powers of presentation, his choice of staging and timing was as weird as his initial decision to snub his military allies.

The result of all this chest-thumping is the opposite of its intended effect. Instead of promoting American leadership, Trump is leaving a vacuum in Europe that is being filled by the German-French alliance. With Britain busy with its own Brexit chaos, that leaves Trump and the US with fewer friends and less influence."

Add the recently imposed, executive branch, unilateral tariffs to the list via the Trade Expansion Act of 1962.

Trump's 'I alone' approach jeopardizes U.S. security and prosperity

    From the article:

"...his first nine months in office are littered with abandoned international treaties and renounced obligations.

Trump has withdrawn from the Trans-Pacific Partnership, handing China a gift in its attempts to dominate its neighbors; the Paris climate accords, setting back efforts to combat global warming; and now UNESCO, citing anti-Israel bias just as that organization was selecting its first Jewish head, France's former culture minister Audrey Azoulay. Trump didn't quite withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal, but he did refuse to certify that it is in America's interest and threatened to withdraw in the near future if it cannot be toughened in ways that Iran is unlikely to accede to. Now Trump is making impossible demands of Mexico and Canada during negotiations over the future of the North America Free Trade Agreement, leading many observers to suspect he is deliberately sabotaging a treaty that has fostered closer economic and political ties among the three nations of North America.

In all these instances, Trump has acted in the face of nearly unanimous opposition from America's allies, isolating the United States in a way that it has never been isolated in the post-1945 era."

Hey people! Trump and the Republicans in congress are opening the TONGASS NATIONAL FOREST in southern Alaska to timber business. They want to let Chinese, Japanese, and Korean timber companies to tear the forest apart with clear cutting methods. This forest is big, at 17 million acres. It has old grow with trees at 800 years old to 1200 years old. All sorts of wild animals use the place for their home. This is a disgrace and an environmental crime carried out by the right wing extremists against America. Trump has appointed a man who hates the national forests to lead the Department of Interior and the BLM; and, that man wants to give public lands to big companies while denying common citizens from using public lands. The law allows common people to camp on public lands for 14 days and then leave. Trump and his pro-business friends want to let the mining and timber companies to remain for decades while they destroy our public lands and forests.

As usual, the environment is subject to the whims of the current administration. I wish there were something that could be done.
But they're neglecting their responsibilities if wildlife is at risk. There must be someone to sue. Or maybe there is an endangered species that relies on that land for its habitat. The Endangered Species Act might be able to intervene.

Here's a couple lines from Trump's Pennsylvania propaganda speech:

"A lot of evil. A lot of bad people. A lot of bad people." - talking about the United States government.
"President Moon of South Korea said without Donald Trump, the Olympics would have been a total failure. That's true. True." ~ I couln't find that quote by Moon, appears to be an outright lie.
He attacked the media again, surprise when he said of Chuck Todd, "He's a sleeping son of a bitch."
    And:
"NBC is perhaps worst than CNN, I have to tell you. And MSNBC is horrible."
"A certain anchor on CNN ... fake as hell CNN, the, fake as hell CNN, the worst, so fake, fake news." ~ notice the sentence structure.
He talked about his TV show, "Arnold Schwarzenegger failed when he did the show and he was a movie star. Martha Stewart failed."
Here are a few that make no sense at all:
"No, no, they are saying Obama. Obama. Obama. Obama was driving you down."
"Did you see the other day, 96% of what they do, all I do is good stuff, the economy is the best it's ever been."
"... And six months prior to the election in 2020, every one of those guys, we really endorse Donald Trump, we think he has to."
"I was watching, during the campaign, and Hillary was sitting right there, and Pocahontas was up, she was so angry, you know, I think she's losing the audience."
"They all want to be on councils. They call them blue ribbon councils where we take Melania -- great, great first lady. She's great."
"When your daughter walks home. And they don't use guns. You never saw guns. The NRA happens to be very good people, by the way."
"But you'd be so bored because I could stand up, right? I'm very presidential."

    And there's more, SAD.

Trump hasn't said much about the sexual misconduct that has been done by Republicans in high places. Maybe he does no wish to talk about others who might respond by talking about him, and his escapades? A few weeks ago, Republican Wes Goodman of the Ohio general assembly got caught having sex with a man in his own office at the State House. The word is his boy friend was really going to town on him when the visitors walked in on them. Goodman was Ohio's top evangelical anti LGBTQ speaker. His wife was/is the state's top evangelical anti abortion speaker. In today's news, an Iowa Republican by the name of Dix has been caught with a lobbyist in a bar. A while back he had settled a legal case involving a lower level staffer for nearly two million bucks. In Pennsylvania, a Republican had to quit because he demanded his staffer have an abortion after he was informed of her pregnancy. He was an anti abortion loudmouth. In Arizona, a Republican member of congress had to quit because he got caught offering FIVE MILLION to a woman so she would have his baby. Of course he want to be the one to put the spermies in there. There seems to be a pattern in here!

    That's Tim Murphy.

The special election in PA between Saccone and Lamb is due to Tim Murphy who resigned from his U.S. House seat amidst a sex scandal.

In his 75 minute, disjointed, whining, barking dog, Hitler-like speech, Trump said little about Saccone and, of course, nothing about Murphy.

Anti-abortion Rep. Tim Murphy plans to retire amid sex scandal

"HARRISBURG, Pa. — Republican congressman Tim Murphy of Pennsylvania announced Wednesday that he would not run for a ninth term, amid tawdry revelations of an extramarital affair in which the anti-abortion lawmaker urged his mistress to get an abortion when he thought she was pregnant."

In the PA ramble, Trump was still whining about Oprah who he says he wants to run against in 2020. Oprah has repeatedly stated she isn't running. Trump itches to have another personal fight with anyone, even if it's imaginary.

    The latest: Golf Diplomacy

Trump in his narcissistic fashion loves to throw wrenches in the gearbox to make the world revolve around him.

Australia is enlisting the services of Australian professional golfer Greg Norman who is a friend of Trump to try to negotiate a U.S. tariff exemption.

In related matters, the U.S. Commerce Department placed a tariff on biodiesel from Argentina as high as 70% which has damaged its soybean market.

Brazil is a major exporter of steel to the U.S. and also a major importer of coal from the U.S. Brazil could place a reciprocal tariff on U.S. coal.

    Up next: Hooker Diplomacy

Countries start enlisting the services of their best hookers to please Trump to win a tariff exemption.

Hooker diplomacy. It's not just for the interest of Russian government oligarchs anymore.

House investigation of Russian tampering in U.S. elections shut down without warning by Nunes.
Without consulting any Democratic members of the committee the panel was terminated and statements issued.
Republican member Mike Conaway told reporters:
They found no collusion and then disputed every intelligence service in the U.S. by stating that Russia had no preference for Trump in the election.

Republican House intelligence member Tom Rooney investigating the Russian interference declares the committee has "lost all credibility."
    Asked if,
No one has ever produced any Russian information that helped Clinton or was aimed at helping Clinton.
