Trump is known for willfully choosing to tap dance on the edge of the cliff.

He put himself at risk for being indicted for his antics with Jeffrey Clark.

Trump should be thankful to the rational-minded DOJ officials for not going along with the scheme to overthrow the election. They said they would resign en masse if he didn't change course and not install Clark as AG. It may have saved Trump from being indicted.

Trump could still be indicted for conspicacy to use the DOJ to overthrow an election even though he didn't install Clark in the end. It hinges on what the DOJ finds about Clark (whose house was raided) and his relationship with Trump.

 

If they charge her for a miscarriage- it would be hard to convict her. I don’t think any court would actually do that, that’s pretty extreme.

That is my point, Brother. The way these southern right wing extremists twist the law, it could happen. They could (1) interpret the Supreme Court ruling this way: It is now a ban! (2) I say the Supreme Court ruling says: Abortion is not a RIGHT, because there is not right to abortion in the Constitution. So, (3) the right wing Christian nut jobs might now --and likely now-- would try to expand the definition of this ruling.

The Republican who have vast numbers of Christian extremists among their ranks will now try to increase their power over minorities and rule with an iron fist ... and an iron heel. During the Jim Crow Era, a Black man who was charged with spit on the sidewalk municipal ordinance, usually ended up doing forty years in a chain gang. How did they do that? Well, when he could not pay the original fine, the Big White Judge would add a contempt of court charge. That sent the Black man to the chain gang which worked on the farm own by the Big White Judge's best friend. Today, the Big Republicans know that support from the Christian political action groups is critical to winning. When they pass these laws --which started out as a bill written by the Christian political action group-- they already have a method in mind to screw Democrats, minorities, or anyone who could get in their way. This is exactly how great nations fall apart.

Ok , I get all that, and I’m hearing you bro, but, getting back to the point about a woman being charged for murder because of a miscarriage- a lot of things cause a miscarriage- way beyond human control. Quote provided by The Mayo Clinic, as follows:

I get it, this Supreme Court decision on the reversal of Roe vs Wade has gotten this country turned upside down right now. I don’t think they thought through this very carefully- it was obviously a political agenda for far right conservatives for a long time. It’s ironic that there’s this concern about the right to life, but, on the other hand, they support taking one’s life by favoring the death penalty.

 

I really think this is one of their points. The white population is declining, and they need to find a way to rebuild it. I am surprised that the court didn't rule that abortion was still legal for minorities.

 

Actually, it was the liberals who paved the way for him to go to law school, become a lawyer, and ultimately a judge. Otherwise, he might be mopping floors someplace.

I agree with you. My original point is they would --because they could-- charge a woman who had a miscarriage with murder. I am not saying it is right for them to do that. I am saying Christian fanatics in the Republican party in the southern states like Texas would jump on the chance to fuck over a poor Democrat woman just that way. The new laws are that dangerous Eric. The Supreme Court also ruled to end Miranda rights at the same time they ended the right to abortion. Under Republican governance, you have less rights, unless you are a rich white dude; then, you have the right to carry a gun and shoot the fuck out of colored people.

Hey Hip people! The Supreme Court Trump appointees ended all Miranda Rights in America. You have no right when arrested now. You used to have a right to have a lawyer present, and a court appointed lawyer .. but Trump's cronies ended all that. When you get stopped by a cop, they'll likely say : You have the right to accept Jesus as your personal savior.
