Marjorie Taylor Greene texted Trump chief of staff urging martial law to overturn election

    excerpt:

"Greene – one of Trump’s fiercest far-right defenders on Capitol Hill – also texted Meadows days before the Capitol attack asking about how to prepare for objections to Biden’s win at the joint session of Congress, the text messages show.

“Good morning Mark, I’m here in DC. We have to get organized for the 6th,” Greene wrote on 31 December. “I would like to meet with Rudy Giuliani again. We didn’t get to speak with him long. Also anyone who can help. We are getting a lot of members on board.”

That text message from Greene, who had not yet been sworn in as a member of Congress, a week before the Capitol attack also underscores her close relationship with the Trump White House and an extraordinary level of coordination to obstruct Biden being certified as president."

Marjorie Taylor Greene texted Trump chief of staff urging martial law to overturn election

    excerpt:

"Yet none of the text messages Meadows produced to the select committee through a cooperation deal agreed last year and in response to a subpoena show any such contacts, raising the specter that he might have deliberately withheld some communications.

The former White House chief of staff appears to have ultimately turned over no text messages between 9 December and 21 December, a critical time period in the lead-up to the Capitol attack during which a number of key moments took place.

Meadows appeared to be aware of efforts by the White House and others, for instance, to send fake Trump slates of electors to Congress. The idea was to have “dueling” slates of electors force then-vice president Mike Pence to discount those votes and return Trump to office."

Biden reverses Trump's move to continue to use what Trump referred to as beautiful, old-fashioned lightbulbs.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/climate-solutions/2022/04/26/biden-incandescent-lightbulb-ban-trump/

    excerpt:

"The Energy Department finalized two rules Monday requiring manufacturers to sell energy-efficient lightbulbs, effectively putting a “sell-by” date on older, inefficient bulbs that don’t meet the new standards. The move will speed the pace of a lighting revolution that is already well underway, driving down electricity use, saving consumers money and slashing greenhouse gas emissions from the power sector.

The new rules, which reverse a Trump-era policy, expand energy-efficiency requirements to more types of lightbulbs and ban the sale of those that produce less than 45 lumens per watt — a measure of how much light is emitted for each unit of electricity. This will eventually prohibit most incandescent and halogen lightbulbs and shift the country toward more efficient and compact fluorescent and LED bulbs."

Trump went on another rambling rant at a Milwaukee rally about 'worthless' new dishwashers, weak showers, and lightbulbs that 'make you look orange'

    excerpt:

"Trump also expressed frustration with "the new lightbulb," saying it "costs you five times as much, and it makes you look orange."

Trump has previously attacked lightbulbs designed to be more efficient. He rolled back Obama-era standards on energy-saving lightbulbs in December, stopping a phasing out of older incandescent bulbs.

He has also blamed the efficient bulbs for making him look orange, saying in September: 'The bulb that we're being forced to use — No. 1, to me, most importantly, the light's no good. I always look orange. And so do you. The light is the worst.""

The efficiency of LED bulbs is at least 5 times that of incandescent.

Sylvania offers a 8.5W LED bulb with light output equivalent to a 60W incandescent. That's 7 times more efficient.

Trump thinks he studied wind turbines better than anybody.

Trump ranted about wind energy, describing it as something whose appeal he 'never understood' despite having 'studied it better than anybody'

    excerpt:

"I never understood wind. You know, I know windmills very much. I've studied it better than anybody I know. It's very expensive. They're made in China and Germany mostly — very few made here, almost none," he said.

Trump also criticized the manufacturing process of the wind turbines as creating "fumes":

"But they're manufactured tremendous — if you're into this — tremendous fumes. Gases are spewing into the atmosphere. You know we have a world, right? So the world is tiny compared to the universe. So tremendous, tremendous amount of fumes and everything. You talk about the carbon footprint — fumes are spewing into the air. Right? Spewing. Whether it's in China, Germany, it's going into the air. It's our air, their air, everything — right?"

Actually it's that cheap spraypaint you spray on your face that makes you look orange...

Anybody notice how orange this guy looks in sunlight? And he blames it on lightbulbs... and his fucking moronic base believes it's "lightbulbs"...

I'm waiting for another round of how he needs to flush the toilet 10, 15 times....but I guess to flush the byproducts of all those burgers and fries - a lot of garbage in, a lot of garbage out.

Yep, he was the leader of the free world for four years. Yeah, dumbass, you look orange in the sunlight, too, you can't blame that on color index.

Could you imagine owning a good chunk of Tesla stock with this looney at the helm? I mean, he says one stupid thing and his over priced stock pukes and screws over the share holders. I wouldn't put a nickel in that unsustainable upside down smoke and mirrors business. Let's see, we have batteries made of Un-obtainium and non-replacium manufactured with a million kW hours of energy and child labor at the radical 3rd world smelters, built by people that cannot afford to own the basic model, that we are supposed to charge on a grid that is already running at 125% capacity before the summer heat hits and now we all want to plug in our 10kW car chargers....all the while we are taking generating capacity off line, and de-legislating residential solar power scams that you spend $35k on to 'save' $100/mo maybe.....but I may be technologically jaded by common sense again.

Son of artist charged in Trump's riot at Capitol.

Son Of Famed American Artist Charged In Jan. 6 Capitol Riot

BOSTON (AP) — For years, Vincent Gillespie waged a legal battle to try to gain control of hundreds of paintings by his father — renowned postwar American artist Gregory Gillespie.

On Jan. 6, 2021, prosecutors say, Gillespie engaged in a very different kind of battle, joining rioters as they tried to wrest control of the U.S. Capitol from the federal government in one of the most violent confrontations of the riot.

Gillespie, who investigators say was identified by half a dozen sources from images taken that day, was among a mob trying to force its way through a tunnel at the Lower West Terrace of the Capitol — an assault that almost succeeded by his own description.

“We were almost overpowering them,” Gillespie, blood visible on his scalp from the clash, told an Associated Press journalist at the scene that day. “If you had like another 15, 20 guys behind us pushing I think we could have won it.”"

McCormick, Trump-affiliated Sands, and the Trump-endorsed Oz are from outside the state of PA.

Dr. Oz promotes Trump endorsement, 2020 election skepticism in Pa. Senate debate

    excerpt:

"Both Oz, who moved from New Jersey to run for the seat, and McCormick, who moved from Connecticut, have been criticized for not being true Pennsylvanians. The Republican field also includes Carla Sands, a former Trump-appointed ambassador to Denmark, who moved from California to enter the race.

“The two tourists who’ve moved here to run, they don’t know Main Street Pennsylvania,” said Jeff Bartos, a Philadelphia-area real estate investor who has served as the state party’s finance chair and is also running for the Senate seat. “They haven’t cared to spend time there until they decided to run for office.”

“I can promise the people of Pennsylvania, when these carpetbaggers lose, you will never see them again,” said candidate Kathy Barnette, a conservative political commentator."

Fringe Trump supporter Cawthorn caught with loaded gun at airport (again).

Rep. Madison Cawthorn caught bringing loaded gun through airport security

    excerpt:

"Madison Cawthorn, a Republican congressman from North Carolina, was caught trying to go through security with a loaded gun at Charlotte Douglas International Airport Tuesday morning, according to multiple sources.

This was the second time the controversial congressman has been stopped trying to bring a weapon through airport security."
