Trump has been blaming Biden for store shelves being empty.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott's truck inspection policy created a logjam at the border that resulted in $240 million of spoiled produce

    excerpt:

"However, Galeazzi told CNN the policy already left some store shelves empty over the weekend, and it would take "a week or longer, up to probably three weeks, before the supply chain realigns."

Lance Jungmeyer, president of the Fresh Produce Association of the Americas, told CNN that fruit and vegetable losses added up to over $240 million and that buyers across the country can expect rising prices as producers try to regain some of those losses.

"It's a bad time to be adding this to consumers' pockets to pay out their pocketbook," Jungmeyer said."

The policy of governor Abbott of Texas is foolish.

Trump threatened to raise import tariffs on Mexico to 25% if it didn't help him with his fake border crisis. He never did.

His idea of grocery shopping is getting a dozen happy meals at the McDs drive thru. And a water for melania.

Trump, allies "inarguably committed" crimes with Jan. 6 "coup": Kirschner

    excerpt:

"In remarks at the end of the trial, Walton, who was first appointed to the federal bench by former GOP President Ronald Reagan, blasted Trump and the reality that so many Americans believe his election lies.

"You know, I think our democracy is in trouble," Walton said. "Because unfortunately, we have charlatans like our former president, who doesn't in my view really care about democracy, but only about power. And as a result of that, it's tearing this country apart."

"I have a concern that we have, unfortunately, American citizens who were so gullible that they were willing to accept what was being said without any proof that the allegations about the election had any merit whatsoever," the judge said."

Trump’s Focus on 2020 Election Splits Michigan Republicans

    excerpt:

"SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The shouting in the banquet hall erupted just minutes after the Macomb County Republican Party convention was called to order.

In a room packed with about 500 people, Mark Forton, the county party chairman and a fierce ally of former President Donald J. Trump, began railing against the establishment Republicans in the audience. A plan was afoot to oust him and his executive team, he said.

“They’re going to make an overthrow of the party, and you have a right to know what this county party has done in the last three years,” he said as his supporters booed and hollered and opponents pelted him with objections. Republicans in suits and cardigans on one side of the room shouted at die-hard Trump supporters in MAGA hats and Trump gear on the other.

The night ended as Mr. Forton had predicted, with a 158-123 vote that removed him and his leadership team from their posts.

The raucous scene in Macomb County exploded after months of infighting that roiled the Michigan Republican Party, pitting Trump loyalists like Mr. Forton, who continue to promote Mr. Trump’s lies about a stolen 2020 presidential election, against a cohort of Republicans who are eager to move on. The splintering threatens to upend the upcoming Republican state convention, where county precinct chairs vote on nominees for secretary of state, attorney general and other statewide offices."

Trump’s Focus on 2020 Election Splits Michigan Republicans

    excerpt:

"Mr. Trump is all in on trying to sway those contests — and other races across the state, which he lost by 150,000 votes in 2020. The former president has endorsed 10 candidates for the State Legislature, including three who are challenging Republican incumbents, and has already picked his favorite candidate for speaker of the State House next year. Mr. Trump also has made numerous personal entreaties to shore up support for Matthew DePerno, who is running for attorney general, and Kristina Karamo, a candidate for secretary of state."

Durham is writing his own narrative of the Trump-Russia inquiry on behalf of Trump to try to retroactively exonerate him. An example is his 27-page indictment of Sussman for allegedly lying to the FBI, which normally would have been one page.

Durham wants to include various aspects of the inquiry during the trial of Sussman to further showcase his narrative.

It looks like Sussman will stand trial. It's now a battle over what type of material will be allowed in court.

Durham says CIA found data alleging Trump-Russia connection not 'technically plausible,' was 'user created'

Even if Sussman is found not guilty, Durham will have had the opportunity to publicly express his narrative through the trial, like he has in the many-page, wordy indictment.

Durham's original impetus to prove that a Trump-alleged, prevalent Deep State exists has fizzled. It's become an effort of alleging that various people involved in the opposition research against Trump in 2016 lied to the FBI and to use trials to showcase the Durham narrative.

Trump is fixated on trying to retroactively reverse outcomes to make himself look like a winner.

The Trump-Russia inquiry that Durham is still investigating is on the order of 6 years old.

Trump would like another Durham to conduct a similar investigation of the 2020 election to try to rewrite Biden's win as a Trump win.

Barr wasn't willing to promote such a narrative, but he did elevate Durham to special counsel just before he resigned his AG post in December 2020 to try to rewrite the Trump-Russia inquiry.

Durham's investigation of the investigators was given a very wide scope by Barr. It has no time limits. It could continue as long as the DOJ is willing to give him money for it.

Senator 'In Shock' As Trump-Backed Neb. Governor Candidate Put Hand 'Up My Dress'

    excerpt:

"Nebraska Republican state Sen. Julie Slama said she was “in shock” when Donald Trump-endorsed gubernatorial candidate Charles Herbster allegedly put his hand “up my dress” at a GOP dinner.

Slama detailed what she has described as an “assault” in 2019 in an interview Thursday, the day the Nebraska Examiner reported that she and seven other women had accused the Republican businessman of groping them.

“As I was ... walking to my table, I felt a hand reach up my skirt, up my dress and the hand was Charles Herbster’s,” Slama said in an interview on News Radio KFAB in Omaha. “I was in shock. I was mortified. It’s one of the most traumatizing things I’ve ever been through.”

Slama added: “I watched as five minutes later he grabbed the buttocks of another young woman. ... This was witnessed by several people at the event.”"

NEW POLL: Whopping 57 Percent of Republicans See Jan. 6 as ‘Act of Patriotism’ Rather Than ‘Insurrection’

    excerpt:

"Respondents to the poll were asked “Thinking about the people who forced their way into the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, would you say that was more of an insurrection against the United States or more of an act of patriotism?”

Among all respondents, 66 percent replied “Insurrection” and 34 percent said “Act of patriotism.”

Among Democrats and Democratic-leaning respondents, the result was 88 percent “Insurrection” and 12 percent “Act of patriotism.”

For Republicans, the numbers were inverted: 43 percent “Insurrection” and 57 percent “Act of patriotism.”"

I'm sorry, but overthrowing a free and fair election is not patriotism...

This is proof of the dumbing down of America. It’s sad that some people don’t know what the definition of patriotism is.

    https://thehill.com/news/administration/3271087-trump-easter-messages-skewer-democrats/

    excerpt:

"Former President Trump blasted Democrats in Easter messages on Sunday morning, including one aimed at “radical left maniacs” and another calling New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) a “failed gubernatorial candidate.”

“Happy Easter to failed gubernatorial candidate and racist Attorney General Letitia James,” Trump said in a message sent via his Save America PAC. “May she remain healthy despite the fact that she will continue to drive business out of New York while at the same time keeping crime, death, and destruction in New York!”"
