Neil Young's Ohio song was about the day National Guard men killed four college students at Kent State University.
Trump flexes massive fundraising haul to oust Georgia’s GOP governor excerpt: "Politico reported on Wednesday that Mr Trump’s Save America PAC is committing half a million dollars to an effort to oust Brian Kemp, the conservative governor of Georgia who irked the ex-president in 2020 by refusing to pressure his state legislature into an attempt to throw out Georgia’s valid 2020 election results. Mr Trump’s failure to win Georgia was one of the final nails in the coffin which entombed his 2020 campaign; the former president expected to win the traditionally-red state as well as a handful of other swing states which fell to Joe Biden last November. In the months since, Mr Trump has baselessly alleged that widespread fraud kept him out of office for a second term. Mr Kemp is one figure in a long line of GOP officials who now face retribution from Mr Trump over their choice to deny assistance to the former president’s attempts to overturn the lawful election results of the 2020 presidential contest."
Trump flexes massive fundraising haul to oust Georgia’s GOP governor excerpt: "Most people in Georgia know that something untoward happened in November 2020," MrPerdue said during an interview last month, adding: "I’ll just say it ... in my election and the president’s election, they were stolen. The evidence is compelling now."
Trump and his supporters haven't submitted their new alleged compelling evidence to the courts and haven't gained traction in the courts for what they actually did submit in the past. .
Loeffler, who lost her U.S. Senate seat in GA like Perdue, at least had a sense of conscience just after Trump's riot. Trump flexes massive fundraising haul to oust Georgia’s GOP governor excerpt: "Mr Perdue was not one of the senators to vote to object to the 2020 election’s certification because his term ended three days before the events of January 6, when rioters attacked the US Congress seeking to block the certification of Mr Biden’s victory. His fellow Georgia Republican senator at the time, Kelly Loeffler, had planned to vote for the objections, but after the attack on Congress released a statement claiming that she could not "in good conscience" continue to support objections to the 2020 election’s integrity." .
That's what Trump wants every one of his endorsed candidates to say. Those who give any inkling of not saying it are chastised by Trump, like U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks of AL (whose endorsement was rescinded by Trump) and Bill McSwain, the AG of PA, who was hoping to receive a Trump endorsement for running for governor but was publicly dumped by Trump this week for not doing enough to (illegally) overturn the PA election.

Alexander Vindman explains how Donald Trump's coup attempt encouraged Putin's Ukraine invasion excerpt: "Looking back at that and seeing Putin's actions in Ukraine, Vindman said that he can't help but see the link. “I came to see these seemingly individual events — the Ukraine scandal, the attempt to steal the 2020 election — as part of a broader tapestry. And the domestic effects of all this are bad enough. But there’s also a geopolitical impact. We missed an opportunity to harden Ukraine against Russian aggression," Vindman told the Times. “Ukraine became radioactive for the duration of the Trump administration," he continued. "There wasn’t serious engagement. Putin had been wanting to reclaim Ukraine for eight years, but he was trying to gauge when was the right time to do it. Starting just months after Jan. 6, Putin began building up forces on the border. He saw the discord here. He saw the huge opportunity presented by Donald Trump and his Republican lackeys. I’m not pulling any punches here. I’m not using diplomatic niceties. These folks sent the signal Putin was waiting for.”"
Alexander Vindman explains how Donald Trump's coup attempt encouraged Putin's Ukraine invasion excerpt: "Maybe now that the Russian invasion of Ukraine is well underway, the implications of President Vladimir Putin's actions against the United States in 2016 will finally sink in, especially for Republicans in Congress. After all, he is the same Vladimir Putin "who planned, staged and launched a large-scale war on Ukraine is the same Vladimir Putin who ordered an aggressive, multifaceted, clandestine campaign to interfere in the 2016 U.S. presidential election," wrote King. His goal, the columnist explained was to pull another country out of the West, while his 2016 goal was to undermine the U.S. democratic process in 2016. Such efforts proved to be successful as he raked in the benefits to having Trump as his White House ally. Now, Putin "perceives that a subjugated Ukraine benefits Russia and is now working to achieve that end," wrote King."
South Dakota Man Who Made Riot Rap Video Defending Jan. 6 Capitol Attack Pleads Guilty excerpt:: "A South Dakota man who joined the riotous mob at the Capitol on Jan. 6 and subsequently recorded a rap video in which he said he and others “had to storm the Capitol” has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor. Billy Knutson, 36, admitted to entering and remaining in a restricted building on Jan. 6, when scores of Donald Trump supporters forced their way through police lines and barricades and swarmed the Capitol in an effort to stop Congress from certifying Joe Biden’s win in the 2020 presidential election. Prosecutors were tipped off to Knutson’s presence at the riot by an unidentified confidential source who claimed to be related to Knutson. According to prosecutors, Knutson had posted pictures of himself outside the Capitol on Jan. 6 and was recorded having entered the building through a window at around 3:30 p.m. Knutson was seen on surveillance video speaking to police officers and other people in the building, according court filings."
Gableman who (at taxpayer expense) is still trying to find fraud in the WI 2020 election descends lower. Michael Gableman criticizes head of Wisconsin elections over attire excerpt: "She's been trained how to try to sit there, I agree. Perfect comportment," Gableman said. "Oh yes, and deliver these answers. Black dress, white pearls, oh yeah, I've seen the show. It wasn't the pearls this time. It was the little locket on the — was it gold by any chance? It was, oh, Hillary Clinton."
Eastman is still trying to reclaim Trump's 'stolen' electors and conduct a 'do over' of the election.. 'The coup attempt is ongoing': Ex-Trump lawyer John Eastman still trying to overturn 2020 election excerpt: "But Eastman is not done trying to undo Trump's loss. He was one of several Trump allies who last month secured a two-hour private meeting with Wisconsin state Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, a Republican, to pressure him to "nullify" the 2020 election and "reclaim the electors awarded to Biden," which legal experts say is not possible, according to ABC News. Eastman urged Vos to "decertify the election," according to the report. Jefferson Davis, a Wisconsin activist who also attended the meeting, told ABC that Eastman pushed Vos to start "reclaiming the electors" and move forward with "either a do over or having a new slate of electors seated that would declare someone else the winner." Eastman did not comment on the meeting."
Trump still won't admit Putin is engaging in evil behavior. Instead, Trump falsely claimed that he rebuilt NATO. Trump Brags About Relationship To Putin As Fox News Shows Body Bags In Ukraine excerpt: "Minutes earlier, Hannity had prompted Trump to denounce Putin. “I asked you the last time you were on, whether you think that this is evil in our time,” Hannity said. “Do you believe this is evil in our time?” Trump did not answer the question; instead ,he ranted about NATO. “Don’t forget, I rebuilt NATO,” Trump falsely claimed. Trump also called what was happening in Ukraine a “genocide,” joining President Joe Biden in characterizing Russia’s atrocities as such."
In Trump's perception, the evil, although Trump acknowledges that it is occurring, can't be attributed to Putin. It's a result of other factors, such as NATO supposedly not being strong enough (even though Trump falsely claims he rebuilt it), Biden not earning the respect of Putin, or the U.S. not threatening the use of its nuclear arsenal (to stop Putin's evil that Trump won't admit).
Trump Brags About Relationship To Putin As Fox News Shows Body Bags In Ukraine excerpt: “We have the strongest, most capable nuclear anywhere in the world because of what I did,” Trump said, reiterating his claim that Putin would not have invaded were he in office. Trump said the U.S. has a more powerful nuclear arsenal than Russia and that “people shouldn’t be pushing us around.”
'Based on a lie': GOP's Facebook obsession threatens to starve local election offices of funding excerpt: "At least 18 Republican-led states have banned or restricted the use of private funds for election offices, according to the right-wing think tank Capital Research Center, and Republican-led legislatures have passed similar legislation in six other states that were vetoed by Democratic governors. The push is part of a well-funded right-wing campaign by groups like Heritage Action for America, which has helped write many of the new voting restrictions imposed by Republican-led states. Some states have gone even beyond the Heritage recommendations, making it a misdemeanor or a felony for election officials to accept grants. Private donations to election administrators proved crucial amid the pandemic after Congress provided relief funds during the primaries but rejected pleas from election officials to send more aid for the general election. Much of the private funding came from an election grant program from the Chicago-based nonprofit Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL), which received $350 million from Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan. The couple also donated more than $60 million to the Center for Election Innovation & Research (CEIR), which provided grants for voter education to election officials in 23 states."
