Wisconsin Republican's deleted emails reveal communications with election deniers and other officials

    excerpt:

"Last month, Vos met with Davis and other election skeptics as he attempted to appease members of his caucus calling for more extreme measures — including the legally impossible move of decertifying the 2020 election results.

One month after Davis’ email, Vos’ chief of staff Jenny Toftness received an email from Thomas Schreibel, a Republican attorney and member of the Republican National Committee (RNC). Schreibel was attempting to connect Vos with members of the RNC.

“I talked to the speaker yesterday about connecting him with the [RNC] to talk election integrity,” Schriebel wrote on August 13.

Four days later, the records show Toftness as a “required attendee” of a scheduled conference call with Schreibel and a member of the RNC titled “RNC Election Integrity.”

That same month, an unsigned draft letter in the records addressed to Assembly Republicans lays out the supposed case for allowing Gableman to expand the scope of his review."

Donald Trump's popularity declining among GOP voters in these states

    excerpt:

"Donald Trump remains a popular Republican in a number of key election states, although voters' positive view of him has waned slightly in places where his endorsed candidates are seeking primary elections, according to a poll.

A Morning Consult survey found that Trump has a strong favorability rating with Republicans in Georgia (86 percent), North Carolina (87 percent), Ohio (80 percent) and Pennsylvania (77 percent).

However, the results show that Trump's favorability has fallen slightly in Georgia and Ohio compared to January 2021, where Trump was polling at 89 percent and 81 percent respectively.

In both Georgia and Ohio, Trump also saw his unfavorable rating increase slightly from last January, up four points in Georgia to 14 percent, and two points in Ohio to 19 percent."

I want to know why Saudi Arabia gave Kushner 2 billion dollars and why Qatar gave Kushner 500 million dollars.

    https://thehill.com/news/3264736-gop-pollster-says-republicans-are-mocking-child-trump/

    excerpt:

"Luntz said he was not surprised by comments made by New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu (R) that gained attention from the Gridiron Club’s annual dinner.

“He’s f—— crazy,” Sununu said of Trump earlier this month at the annual event, known for its roasts of politicians and other figures.

“I don’t think he’s so crazy that you could put him in a mental institution,” he added. “But I think if he were in one, he ain’t getting out.”

Luntz said that while the comments were made at a roast, many members of the Republican party feel the same way.

“I don’t know a single Republican who was surprised by what Sununu said. He said what they were thinking,” Luntz said to The Daily Beast. “They won’t say it [in public], but behind his back, they think he’s a child. They’re laughing at him.”"

People like Finchem in AZ and Tina Peters in CO as secretary of state will try to overturn a legitimate presidential election for Trump if he runs in 2024 and loses. They will also try to overthrow elections for state and local offices that the GOP loses to Democrats.

How a Trump ally got his unfounded voting-machine audit push in front of federal cyber agency

    excerpt:

"Perhaps even more significantly, the emails underscore that Trump’s stalwart allies in his baseless quest to contest his loss to Joe Biden are still core parts of his network heading into a possible 2024 White House bid. Finchem, in particular, worked overtime in the weeks after the 2020 election to try to reverse Biden’s win in his swing state. And last September, Trump endorsed his bid to become Arizona’s secretary of state, in charge of its 2024 ballot.

During the last days of Trump’s administration, Finchem was one of the leading proponents of “auditing” voting machines — and hosted an infamous hearing with Giuliani in late November 2020 where then-President Trump called in to lie about his loss. Emails reviewed by POLITICO show Finchem asking for help from one of CISA’s Hunt and Incident Response Teams, saying a subcontractor to one of the nation’s largest defense contractors could help.

Finchem did not respond to requests for comment."

    An archived news article.

Republican lawmakers in Arizona hold meeting with Rudy Giuliani

    excerpt:

"Inside the hotel ballroom, Republican lawmakers Mark Finchem, Bret Roberts, Nancy Barto, Leo Biasiucci, David Cook, Kelly Townsend, David Gowan, Sonny Borrelli and Sylvia Allen listened to "witnesses" — who were not placed under oath — as they explained why they thought Arizona's election results were possibly compromised.

They listened to theories on how elections can be infiltrated.

Neither the Republican speaker of the Arizona House of Representatives nor president of the state Senate authorized the meeting. Republican congressmen Paul Gosar and Andy Biggs attended, sitting behind Giuliani.

Meanwhile, blocks away at the old Capitol, Secretary of State Katie Hobbs and Gov. Doug Ducey certified the election results, giving Arizona's 11 electoral votes to president-elect Joe Biden. Also signing were Attorney General Mark Brnovich and Supreme Court Chief Justice Robert Brutinel.

The certified results show Biden defeated Trump by 10,457 votes in Arizona.

But the small contingency of state lawmakers pressed on with their concerns that the president could not have lost the state of Arizona."

In the midst of a Trump-initiated trade war, Trump's daughter Ivanka seemed to receive special favors from China while China's ZTE appeared to garner special status from Trump.

Ivanka Trump won China trademarks days before her father's reversal on ZTE

    excerpt:

"In an open letter, Crew chair and former White House ethics chief Norm Eisen and Fred Wertheimer, president of Democracy 21, a nonprofit that advocates for campaign finance reform, wrote that Donald Trump’s children, Ivanka, Donald Jr and Eric, and son-in-law Jared Kushner “engage in business activities and trade on their relationship with the president to pursue business deals and accumulate wealth”.

Some countries, they said, “will no doubt see this as a way to curry favor with President Trump”.

Trump initiated a trade dispute with China earlier this year, imposing tariffs on steel and aluminium imports and later demanding that China boost imports by $200bn. In retaliation, China said it would target imports of US soybean and pork products. Amidst negotiations, the “trade war” was recently placed “on hold”, in the words of treasury secretary Steven Mnuchin."

Yes, and Chuck Grassley just said there is no evidence Joe Biden got anything from a China connection as the MAGA Maggots claimed.

Gableman report calls for decertifying 2020 election. The Legislature's nonpartisan lawyers say that's not possible.

    excerpt:

"Gableman said the reason lawmakers should consider decertification is that his report makes several allegations that the 2020 election was conducted unlawfully.

"I raise it as a possibility and suggest that if such an avenue were to be pursued, I believe that the conclusions in this report would support such a process," Gableman said.

Much of Gableman’s report focuses on millions of dollars in private election grants from The Center for Tech and Civic Life, an organization funded by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

Gableman argues that because the bulk of the funding went to Green Bay, Kenosha, Madison, Milwaukee and Racine, the state’s five largest cities, it amounted to "election bribery" because it was used to boost Democratic turnout.

"They like to call themselves the 'Wisconsin 5,'" Gableman told lawmakers. "'Wisconsin 5' to me is a term of respect. I want to be accurate. These were the 'Zuckerberg 5' cities."

Gableman’s report uses the phrase "Zuckerberg 5" 141 times."
