Trump could say he fulfilled his civic duty to the minorities by playing golf with Tiger Woods, which he did in November at a Trump course in Florida.

 

Trump and Tiger Woods are involved with the development of a Trump-branded luxury golf course within a luxury housing development in Dubai using a Chinese construction company accused of being corrupt.

The left-behind poverty and working class in the U.S. or the Mideast probably won't benefit much from such activities.

Trump can claim he isn't guilty of violations for dealing with government-operated foreign businesses for personal gain while President because its his name that is being licensed and that he doesn't actually own the property.

"One of President Donald Trump's promises upon entering the Oval Office was that, to avoid conflicts of interest, his company would not work with overseas businesses. But a contract signed while building a golf course in Dubai may have broken that pledge.

According to a report from McClatchy DC, DAMAC Properties, which has partnered with the Trump organization to build a new Dubai golf course, hired a subsidiary of a Chinese construction firm called China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) to build roads and infrastructure around the new course. CSCEC, which Fortune ranked as the seventh-largest company in China and has been blacklisted by the World Bank for corruption, reportedly received $32 million in the deal. Tiger Woods designed the course itself at Trump World Golf Club, which is scheduled to open in Dubai in 2018."

I was just thinking a bunch of countries take care of their people well and still have balanced budgets and strong economies. And by the way, the former head of the Republican Party just said this shutdown is the fault of the GOP.

 

How could it be anybody else's fault? The Republicans control the Presidency and both houses of Congress. I know, there's that 60 vote requirement in the Senate, but the Republicans couldn't even get 50 votes for the measure, and four of those were Democrats. The real culprits are the Republican Freedom Caucus (aka, Tea Partiers) who won't compromise on anything. The Republicans wrote the book on government shutdowns--the last one being about Obamacare. Somehow that was a legitimate issue, but DACA is off limits. Schumer even agreed to Trump's wall, but noooooooooooooo. Trump thinks this is a "good" shutdown. So much for the "Great Negotiator", who has remained relatively aloof from the process, except for his tweets. His way or the highway. What a phony! Aren't you concerned about the effect on our military? Oh, I forgot. That would be another plus for you.

 

Hitler used "Lugen Presse" which translates to Fake News...see the similarities? And both just hate immigrants. And both want to be dictators...white dictators over colored people.

 

The Troller-in-Chief was at it again on Twitter hiding from the reality of the Women's March and sulking that his party was spoiled.

Mick 'The Knife' Mulvaney was a member of the Freedom Caucus and the Shutdown Caucus. He was supportive of shutting down the government during the Obama administration. In contrast, as budget director of the Trump administration he is trying to put a pleasant face on the current government shutdown.

In addition to being the director of Office of Management and Budget, Trump also made Mulvaney the director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in November 2017. Mulvaney has no qualifications for that position which, by Trump standards, makes him qualified for the job. While a member of Congress, Mulvaney voted for killing the CFPB.

Trump's doctor raves about how he passed everything better than everyone else.

 

Dr. Jackson made remarks such as Trump supposedly being able to live to 200 years if he hadn't eaten fast food for years. What are the justifications for such a remark?

Trump's doctor sounds like he's trying to appease and humor him in the classic Trump, superlative, narcissistic fashion.

Ronny Jackson was so effusive in extolling the totally amazing, surpassingly marvelous, superbly stupendous and extremely awesome health of the president that the doctor sounded almost Trumpian. “The president’s overall health is excellent,” he said, repeating “excellent” eight times: “Hands down, there’s no question that he is in the excellent range. I put out in the statement that the president’s health is excellent, because his overall health is excellent. Overall, he has very, very good health. Excellent health.”

And just how excellent is His Excellency’s excellent health, doctor? “Incredible cardiac fitness,” was Dr. Jackson’s professional opinion. “He has incredible genes. He has incredibly good genes, and it’s just the way God made him.”"

 

It's noticeable how various people respond apologetically to Trump's narcissism to try to appease him. Dr. Jackson showed signs of it.

Another example was Trump's 'interview' with the Wall Street Journal. When a reporter said that reaction to Trump's Boy Scout speech was mixed, Trump got defensive and went into one of his narcissistic rants. The reporters appeased him by saying that the response to his speech was great with the modifier 'inside the arena'.

Perhaps a pyschological assessment should be done on how people react to narcissists and how their own minds can start drifting away from reality along with a narcissist while in the presence of one. The brief time Dr. Jackson spent with Trump seemed to have an overpowering effect on him. The psychology behind that phenomenon is as interesting as narcissism itself.

Sane and stable is a very relative term. Like, sane and stable compared to what?

 

Trump can start by giving a demonstration of his infrastructure privitization plan on his Mexican wall to show us how it all works instead of demanding that U.S. taxpayers pay for it.

Trump's infrastructure idea is to use someone's $1 trillion of private money.

Convincing businesses to use their own money to rebuild the infrastructure is going to be tougher than convincing the NYC banks to give Trump money for his luxury projects. Relying on banks was easy by comparison and yet his casinos failed badly to the tune of nearly a billion dollars.
