Trump was most concerned with the beauty of the chocolate cake he was eating at Mar-a-Lago while he ordered the missile strike on Syria which he later mistakenly identified as Iraq during an interview on Fox TV. Not much can be expected of him with respect to even getting basic facts straight, let alone which ones are the most salient.

 

In sum, the Trumpsters are short-sighted and are willing to sacrifice the long-term health of our country for short-term gains for the filthy rich. Lack of adequate public education, good roads and bridges, investment in R&D, environmental protection, and health care will catch up with us, and the divisive rhetoric used to distract public attention to all of this will spur social unrest which could very well come back to bite the elite. Anyhow, this will do the opposite of making America "great again".

I read somewhere that Irminsul accused one of us wishing Trump's kids were raped, right after WilsJane said something to me about trump and now I can't find that. It was there a few minutes ago,....wonders never cease..... I am surprised anyone would start a false rumor such as that....and I remember the photo she posted on this thread and the argument that ensued....but I don't remember anyone saying anything that vile, and I would never think or say anything like that....so, someone should back up their accusations with the proof of the link and who said such a thing...and I am not going to do the work to go back and find that photo and everything said afterwards.....so someone else needs to so in making such a false rumor.

I won't put any stock into anything this person says anymore now after that falsity....

The "poor whites" discussed here are the core Trump voter. Of course they love to have the identity of a successful white person. That's who really likes Trump and we are brothers with them because under Trump we too will be successful even if we are not now. But which one is the majority? Which one thinks of itself as the victim? Being the underdog has long been the role of the Republican. They don't know what to do when they are not. Which is why I think they can not let go of Hillary or Obama. Why "lock her up" is still said and why what Obama did in 2010 is also more relevant then what happens today. Here we have a member of the 1% who gets it. Poor white people need a new enemy.

This is what dictators do and often reporters just disappear, are shot, given poison , jailed, etc. This is outrageous and is the mark of a wannabee dictator. This cannot stand. The BBC is my news source 2/3 of the comments section is always American Trump voters upset the Fox News spin is not put on the events. When when it's not partisan and they state the actual Republican view on a matter it's "liberal propaganda" and "fake news" "Why does the BBC care? fuck your country it's over run by Muslims". The BBC is one of the most respected news sources in the world. Take your head out of your ass. The people of the UK might not like it as much anymore but it's much better than American news. These people truly want to censor information because their devotion to their leader is so great. They feared Obama would censor Fox News it never happened. CNN and MSNBC would not exist if Trump could.

 

I watch BBC, but I like PBS the best. They always seem to feature both sides of an issue. Like --you know--we report-you decide. Only they actually do that,

It's no wonder they axed the fairness doctrine. All it did was give those that felt that they were wrongfully or unfairly portrayed in the media , the RIGHT--yes--the RIGHT to appear and respond. You can see how that would work out for Limbaugh, Hannity and the rest of the Fox bullshit. During Viet Nam, a station in Hawaii got its license jerked because of right wing bullshit. The fairness doctrine was in effect then.
