THE REPUBLICAN PARTY can't let multiple verifications of no election fraud stand in the way of an attempt at yet another insurrection. You know - the "party" of law & order. The "transparency folks." The best way to guarantee transparency is to hide behind closed doors and not allow any impartial observers to see the "audit" of Arizona's ballots. While we're at it, why not have Dr. Kevorkian in charge of the newborn units of our hospitals with no oversight??? We can trust Dr. Kevorkian to not try any experiments on our babies .............. right????
This is the price of NOT having adequate cyber defenses so foreign enemies can shut down our pipelines from half way around the world. That ............. and TEXAS chose NOT to be part of an interstate power grid and instead go it alone and be their own power supplier. So when the ultra-cold temps. froze everything in Texas this past winter, and their power grid FAILED .......... the refineries shut down with NO POWER. No power to refineries ........... NO GAS being refined. So it's no surprise that gas prices are going up, and demand is also back up since things are "opening up" again from the Covid pandemic. Now who was it that said "It's only 1 person coming in from China. It's nothing to worry about. We have it ALL UNDER CONTROL." I wonder how things could have been different under competent leadership.
More specifically, let's include in cyber defense ways of getting private enterprise to make it a priority. Our infrastructure is mostly in private hands.
That's not good news, that's just the hardcore quarter of the population that runs the republican party. They make demands, and the other half of the party either caves in, or register as independents, and still vote republican. Every chicken flock has high and low ranking chickens, and the quarter of hardcore conservatives are the higher ranking ones like Donald Duck.
Sounds like good news to me! If it continues at this pace then in another month we could see 1/5. Lower than that could be difficult, but the less support Trump has the less influence he has over the GOP. Then they'll need to realize either they put him behind them or we'll put them behind us.
Palm Beach County prosecutor says Gov. Ron DeSantis can't stop Trump from getting extradited to New York if he's indicted Grace Panetta,Sonam Sheth Mon, May 17, 2021, 9:31 AM· Palm Beach County prosecutor says Gov. Ron DeSantis can't stop Trump from getting extradited to New York if he's indicted excerpt: "State Attorney Dave Aronberg told "CNN Newsroom" on Sunday that he hadn't had any conversations with his counterparts in New York about an extradition plan. "I can clear that up because I'm the state attorney here in Palm Beach County, and we have not had conversations with prosecutors in New York about this. The story that you saw was informal conversations with the clerk of courts and other local officials in case an indictment happens," Aronberg said. Aronberg also pushed back on Politico's reporting that DeSantis could intervene and prevent Trump from getting extradited to New York. "So that's a conversation we're having: What is the governor's power? And the governor's power to stop an extradition is really nonexistent," Aronberg said. "He can try to delay it, he can send it to a committee and do research about it, but his role is really ministerial, and ultimately the state of New York can go to court and get an order to extradite the former president. But DeSantis could delay matters.""
Top House Republican Opposes Bipartisan Commission To Investigate Capitol Riot excerpt: "House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy came out Tuesday against a bipartisan proposal to establish a 9/11-style commission to investigate the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. The announcement comes a day before the House of Representatives is slated to vote on the legislation. McCarthy tasked the top-ranking Republican on the House Homeland Security Committee, Rep. John Katko of New York, to broker a deal on the commission, and the GOP leader's opposition undercuts his own member's agreement with Chairman Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., and gives cover to other House Republicans to vote against it. To explain his opposition, the California Republican pointed to other bipartisan efforts in the Senate to probe the riots, a security review underway by a top House official, and the Justice Department's arrests of hundreds who breached the Capitol that day. He said the fact that the commission also isn't designed to study other instances of political violence was a problem for him."
Wait until they get a hold of our 75 year old power grid. Or our 100 year old gas and water distribution "network". My fave is the 100+ year old brick water conduit that feeds NYC from the Catskills. Do we think the cyber thugs will stop at $5M this time?
They're fucking chickens, half the damned country is as predictable as a flock of chickens. Currently, the chickens are running in circles screaming "Off With Their Heads!" But, they're fucking chickens, and the idea they will ever learn anything from the experience is absurd. Throw a pebble into a crowd of them, and they might shoot each other while saluting the flag, and they'll keep this up with Donald Duck for all the cheap thrills they can get. Some people like to yell "Jump" to people prepared to commit suicide, and this is the conservative version. All the research indicates testing their dna is the most accurate way to tell how they vote, because nothing anybody says ever penetrates that thick hide.
excerpt: In addition to the federal ban on keeping weapons while on pretrial release, Montgomery had also been previously convicted of three counts of robbery in New Mexico in 1996. He told a Colorado wildlife officer that the crimes occurred when he was in college “doing stupid stuff” and “knocking stores over to get travel money,” according to court records. Seems like this guy is one of those stable geniuses.
I still think that those butthooks that keep tearing shit up in Portland are nihilists that just want to tear shit up. They endanger those Americans that want to peacefully enjoy their constitutional right of government redress. And they give dipshits like McCarthy "reason " to dance around the truth of the insurrection.
'QAnon Shaman' lawyer issues shockingly offensive defense of client's role in Capitol riot Tim O'Donnell Tue, May 18, 2021, 1:32 PM excerpt: "In the interview, published by TPM on Tuesday, Watkins used shockingly offensive language in an attempt to defend Chansley's alleged actions, saying Chansley has Asperger's syndrome, and asserting that other participants in the riot have intellectual disabilities that were to blame. "These are people with brain damage," he said. He also claimed they were subjected to what he described as the most powerful propaganda campaign since Adolf Hitler's."
