Kern, who attended Trump's siege of the Capitol, has been removed from the AZ recount. Ex-lawmaker who rallied for 'Stop the Steal' removed from Arizona audit Robert Anglen, Arizona Republic Published 4:46 p.m. MT May 14, 2021 Updated 7:30 p.m. MT May 14, 2021 Former Arizona lawmaker Anthony Kern removed from Maricopa County audit recount excerpt: "A former state lawmaker who was at the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6 insurrection is no longer being allowed to count and inspect ballots at the Arizona election audit. Anthony Kern spent a few days working for auditors conducting a recount of 2.1 million ballots cast in Maricopa County before contractors removed him because of "optics." "He was here for two or three days," Ken Bennett, the Arizona Senate's audit liaison, said Thursday. "Once it was identified that that wasn't the best optics, I think the contractor removed him from the counting tables." Kern's name also appeared on the 2020 ballots he was counting. His ouster came after an Arizona Republic reporter was escorted from the audit site for photographing Kern at the ballot counting tables and posting the image on Twitter. Reporter Ryan Randazzo was observing the audit along with two other Arizona journalists on April 30 when he was told his press privileges were being revoked."
Arizona recount: Why Republicans are still tallying votes excerpt: "Cyber Ninjas owner Doug Logan is a Trump supporter who advanced conspiracy theories about 2020 election fraud last year. Media access to the review has been limited, but one reporter spotted a former Arizona Republican officeholder, Anthony Kern, among those participating in the ballot-counting. Kern attended the 6 January pro-Trump rally in Washington and was seen outside the US Capitol while some Trump supporters ransacked the building later in the day. What are the auditors looking for? Unspecified evidence of fraud in the state's presidential and senate races (both of which, it so happens, Democrats won). They're tabulating the ballots - something that was done after the election and then again during a routine partial recount that all Arizona counties are legally required to perform (and which, in Maricopa, fully corroborated the initial results). They're also looking for somewhat more, shall we say, unusual evidence of malfeasance. They've been holding ballots up to ultraviolet light, photographing them with high-resolution cameras, analysing folding patterns on the paper as well as its thickness and colour, and looking for traces of bamboo fibre" :
Trump is always quick to jump on any scrap of information that he thinks proves the Democrats perpetrated a fraud. https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...0bc808-b4c7-11eb-a980-a60af976ed44_story.html excerpt: "Fann’s letter alleged that county officials had deleted files from a server and also complained that the county has not turned over forensic images of routers used for the election. Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone (D) has said that the routers, which are used for all county business, would give the Senate and its contractors access to sensitive law enforcement information and that it would be “mind-numbingly reckless and irresponsible” for the county to turn them over. In her letter, Fann said that the contractors had also found instances in which the number of ballots in batches provided by the county did not match the numbers noted on a document that accompanied them. Trump quickly issued a statement Thursday calling Fann’s letter “devastating” and claiming it documented “voting irregularities, and probably fraud,” in the county. In his statement, Sellers said it is “not true” that files were deleted. He announced that the board will hold its own public meeting Monday to “refute lies and lay out facts about these issues.”"
Lin Wood in a race in South Carolina is proposing even wilder truther narratives about the 2020 election. Stolen election myth rattles key GOP race excerpts: "The current GOP chair, Drew McKissick, is widely expected to win reelection Saturday against Lin Wood, one of the nation’s top defamation attorneys who transformed himself into a leading disseminator of Trump-related conspiracy theories. Insiders say McKissick’s internal support is too strong to overcome, that the vagaries of party rules favor him and that Wood started his campaign too late to win." "Wood has reached well beyond Trump’s disproved claims that the election was stolen from the former president. He is fostering wild conspiracy theories positing that Biden is actually dead — replaced by body doubles — and that Trump is still president and planning to reveal himself in a phoenix-like fashion to punish his enemies."
Lin Wood lost. Wood can claim that the Saturday election in South Carolina was rigged too. McKissick defeats pro-Trump lawyer Lin Wood in South Carolina GOP race
It occurs to me, if Trump tries to hold new rallies and they don't draw big crowds, that could convince the GOP that he doesn't have such a strong base anymore and it might embolden them to turn against him! Of course if they do draw big crowds then we're fucked and will have to wait for the mid-terms for a chance to take him down. That is unless he's convicted of a felony. So many variables! As for counter protests, they could get ugly. We would need to ensure that no one at or near the rally is armed. This would require a large police/national guard presence, which Trump would be required to pay for up front.
Liz Cheney says more lawmakers would have voted to impeach Trump but ‘feared for their lives’ excerpt: "Wyoming Representative Liz Cheney has claimed that some Republican lawmakers voted against the impeachment of Donald Trump out of fear for their lives, not because they believed the president was innocent of impeachable offenses. The Republican lawmaker told CNN on Friday that there were “more members who believe in substance and policy and ideals than are willing to say so,” referencing the impeachment vote which took place after the deadly US Capitol riots. “If you look at the vote to impeach, for example, there were members who told me that they were afraid for their own security – afraid, in some instances, for their lives,” Ms Cheney said, claiming that she heard this fear from several members of Congress."
Sidney Powell said no one of reasonable mind would have believed her fringe election fraud allegations.
NY man arrested for participating in Trump riot. New Hartford man charged in U.S. Capitol riot following FBI investigation excerpt: "New Hartford man charged in U.S. Capitol riot following FBI investigation Posted By: WKTV NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. – A New Hartford man has been charged in the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 after admitting to FBI agents that he was inside the building during the riot. Eric Bochene was arrested May 13 and charged with two counts each of: Knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority Violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds The FBI received multiple tips and reviewed several public photos showing Bochene inside the Capitol building, standing near Jake Angeli, also known as the QAnon Shaman."
Be afraid, be very afraid! The lynch mob is coming after the same idiots they elected, for failing to destroy their own government.
Republican Arizona election official says Trump "unhinged" excerpt: "Trump's statement said, in part, that “the entire Database of Maricopa County in Arizona has been DELETED! This is illegal and the Arizona State Senate, who is leading the Forensic Audit, is up in arms.” Richer and the board say that statement is just plain wrong. In recent days, both he and the board have begun aggressively pushing back at what they see as continuing falsehoods from Republicans who question Trump's loss. “Enough with the defamation. Enough with the unfounded allegations,” Richer tweeted Thursday. “I came to this office to competently, fairly, and lawfully administer the duties of the office. Not to be accused by own party of shredding ballots and deleting files for an election I didn’t run. Enough.”"
It will never be enough for Trump and his faithful. They will move the goal posts every time they come up empty. Cyber Ninjas will go door-to-door looking for people who voted for Biden and collect dust samples from their homes to be examined for bamboo fibers.
Space Force commander fired after comments made on conservative podcast A Space force lieutenant colonel has been removed from his command after appearing on a conservative podcast criticizing the United States military. Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier joined The Steve Gruber show to discuss his new book, "Irresistible Revolution: Marxism's Goal of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military," which alleges that Marxist ideologies are becoming widespread within the armed forces. He expounded on those concerns in the podcast. "Since taking command as a commander about 10 months ago, I saw what I consider fundamentally incompatible and competing narratives of what America was, is and should be," Lohmeier said. "That wasn't just prolific in social media, or throughout the country during this past year, but it was spreading throughout the United States military. And I had recognized those narratives as being Marxist in nature."
Only republicans can rig elections and trash out the entire fucking government, then complain other republicans are lying about them, and their elections are fair. Send this asshole back to kindergarten, and make him stand in the corner.
The primary mission of the U.S. Space Force is to maintain, protect, and expand the U.S. fleet of advanced military satellites
So Stephen Richer called a Trump statement accusing Maricopa County of deleting an elections database “unhinged” and called on other Republicans to stop the unfounded accusations. What consequences will Richer face for stating this truth?
