Unfortunately, journalism, especially investigative journalism, no longer exist.

You have no life if you have the time to go back and look up a post from March.

    Yeah sure.

Hahaha. So you admit your guy is nuts.

The Trump administration now has an opportunity to form a group of counter-mom moms to protect Trump's supposedly vulnerable militarized officials who have been assaulting people and essentially kidnapping them with unmarked vehicles.

A Group Of Moms Formed A Human Wall To Protect Portland Protesters From Federal Officers
"We’ll be out until no protester needs protecting,” one of the mothers, who organized the group "Wall Of Moms," told BuzzFeed News.

Trump has exhumed the ugliness and bigotry that had been buried long ago. It will be difficult to put it back under the lid.

Several news outlets are reporting that an assassin had gone to the home of a federal judge and had killed her son and wounded her husband. He husband is reported to be a defense attorney. The judge herself is reported to be on the case of Deutsche Bank, and the Epstein case. The last report can be seen on RT. Trump does not want these cases to be on front page news.

Trump's jack-booted thugs who attacked the protestors in Portland are a lot like his other employees. They are Acting cops, and Temporary Cops, and their supervisors are no different. They have violated multiple laws and illegally arrested American citizens who wish to protest police brutality against Black people. It seems many of these Trump loyalists in the DHS have little training, have not been properly hired or vetted, and have not been confirmed into the decision-making jobs. It looks like their sole purpose is to make Trump look tough before the election.

Trump's handlers have been trying to normalize the deaths with a parameter that they think makes his response to the coronavirus look like a success. Case mortality rate is one that Trump tried to use during the interview with Chris Wallace. That metric doesn't make the U.S. look good. The per capita mortality rate doesn't look appealing either.

Whatever normalizing parameter might be chosen, the fact remains that coronavirus cases in the U.S. are rising and deaths are creeping upward toward 1000 per day.

The long-term morbidity of those who have survived is another problem and may eventually cause premature deaths.

Also a factor is the fear that people have of contracting the coronavirus as the situation (in part due to Trump) is worsening. They may avoid going to the hospital to treat life-threatening illness such as heart attacks and strokes. It can cause an abnomal but real rise in morbidity and deaths due to the avoidance of seeking help.

Trump trying to come up with a normalizing parameter that in his mind seems optimistic doesn't remedy the above issues.

Trump insists he's 'right' on the virus as more Americans get sick and die

Trump insists he's 'right' on the virus as more Americans get sick and die - CNNPolitics

    excerpt:

"Why the mortality rate is a strange argument

The true death rate from the disease has been very difficult to pin down. But it is likely to end up at 1% or less.

Trump's supporters use such data to argue that it was unwise to shut down the economy for a disease that is not lethal for almost everyone who catches it. Apart from ignoring the human dimension of the disease, this view discounts the highly infectious nature of the virus, which could in theory infect hundreds of millions of Americans and lead to a staggering death toll if left unchecked. Moreover, the impact on hospital infrastructure -- and on the health workers who care for the sick -- could be horrific were it not for lockdowns and social distancing.

There is also increasing evidence of long-term health effects including breathing difficulties and organ damage among people who have suffered from the disease -- even among younger patients, who Trump correctly says are less likely to die of Covid-19."

Salas, who was the first Latina to serve on the federal bench in New Jersey, was nominated by former US president Barack Obama and confirmed in 2011.

More recently, Salas presided over an ongoing lawsuit relating to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The lawsuit brought by Deutsche Bank investors claim the company made false and misleading statements about its anti-money-laundering policies and failed to monitor “high-risk” customers including Epstein.

hmm. Deutsche Bank. The same bank connected to trump.

The Trump culture selectively dismisses some of the coronavirus prediction models as alarmist and unreal, yet it uses the worst-case models as a crutch to claim Trump really saved a million lives.

The same culture dismisses virus models as inaccurate, yet it embraces remarks by Trump that he will ultimately be right about the virus eventually disappearing someday, which is a murky, open-ended, temporally empty, no-brainer statement that doesn't need to be supported by any models.

Trump's desperation is showing. He will be resuming coronavirus briefings (campaign rallies).

    Trump to resume COVID-19 briefings

    excerpt:

"The president gave daily briefings from the White House through March and April, providing updates on the administration's response to the pandemic. But the question-and-answer sessions regularly devolved into Trump bashing governors, sparring with the press and making factually inaccurate statements that undercut the federal government's overall messaging.

Some advisers have pushed in recent weeks for him to bring back the briefings, however, as his poll numbers sink and the outbreak worsens. They have argued the briefings would allow Trump to show the public he is taking a leading role in responding to the virus, even as he continues to insist it will "disappear.""

    We'll see how they go.

As much as I dislike, and all of the fine words under the sun that I can think of, President Trump that seems to be the correct answer - if there is one. We'll see if he tries to spin it. Maybe he'll turn it around... but I have serious doubts about that.

Seriously, I hope he just does it. Does a briefing, tells people to wear a mask, goes and plays golf. That would be ideal. Because people are dying and we need unity to be successful in this. One universal direction...

    Yeah, I know. LOL

Maybe his campaign will tell him to do it good. It would probably win over republican votes. That's all it would take for him to win really...
