the deep south is it that scary??

there's beauties and beasties everywhere. alabama has some of the most beautiful beaches and countryside i've ever had the pleasure of seeing. an open heart and a genuine smile works wonders in most places, but there's no place in the world where it's foolproof.

 

think duellin banjos and deliverance and backwoods rednecks tellin ya to squeal like a piggie.

 

That's true in the rural areas (those lousy backwoods country fucks) but in the urban areas Alabama has become much more provincial and sophisticated, and the old lynch mob mentality has been replaced by district rezoning to diminish minority participation within the political arena
