A real debate everyone gets the same question and the same time to answer it.



Health care is the Democrats number one issue. How the heck can we have CNN moderate our debates when big pharma is their biggest sponsor ?

Anyway those debates were the stupidest most irritating thing I ever watched. Wasn't a debate at all different and custom questions for each person and half the field ignored.

Watching the TV at the Gym cursing at the TV this debate was so rigged. Its getting worse.

 

And still Yang remains. Yang Gang hit our 1 million fundraising goal to put his ad on TV in New Hampshire and Iowa. He's now polling ahead of Harris

 

How did such a disgusting human being 'Kamala Harris' ever even get on the debate stage ? Yuck !!

Anyway Andrew Yang needs to explain this to go along with his $1,000 a month in universal basic income.

Explain what? How Harris is a thing? I disagree (if that is what you're saying) One of the things that drew me to Andrew's campaign was that while other democrats were attacking Trump and each other he was offering real solutions to the problems that got Donald Trump elected in the 1st place. For the most part he stays out of the mudslinging game and I like that. I've actually been disappointed the couple of times he's stooped that low. It's like, c'mon my dude...you're better than that

 

I'm sad to see the dismissal of Bernie Sanders. The `1% corporate stations all love to have panels on how he's so crazy. Ok so why is even more popular now compared to 2016? Why despite all your "accurate" polls does he continue to draw more people to his rallies than Biden? It would seem he's the politician for the people. He's also pretty right wing if you step outside the insane American bubble. He's not extreme unless you feel you can make billions and spend millions keeping wages low because "free market".

Out of nowhere Hillary is thrust upon people and Biden is the same thing. If we don't pick them it's the other guy and we can't have that. The party turns on itself. Even though Trump did not win 51% of votes people accuse others of letting him take the job. So called "Bernie bros" who are stupid kids too spoiled to accept you can't always have what you want. It fits right into the millennial hate common now. Nothing more can be done and yet the people fight among themselves. Just as the elite want. It's not them it's us who is stupid. The American system is perfect if only we would accept the 1% controlling it all as they should since they earned it.

Notice each for the most part they all dismiss socialism and will appear at share holder meetings if you pay their fee. A fee that ensures everyone is on the same money making page. Once that happens their news stations filter the message down. Hillary pretty much repeated the alt-right talking point that socialists are stupid kids who live on dad's money so there is no point even trying with them since once they get a good job they will vote how you want in 2020. Biden said things "fundamentally will not change". What the hell does that mean? It means the Waltons can still each be worth 15 billion while the people who make them rich are paid minnium wage.

 

US history is evidence that capitalism and democracy are often self-defeating, with rigged elections, slavery, and exploitation being common, yet, you insist you cannot comprehend why Bernie is casually dismissed and spit upon. Maybe if we had another civil war or Fox News declared themselves the voice of God you might comprehend that the money and the guns do all the talking worth listening to in modern Babylon.

 

As constituted, the current field is a bit silly. When the field is reduced it will get real. I don't know much about Andrew Yang, except that his guaranteed monthly of $1,000.00 will be hugely inflationary while adding to the deficit. Mr Yang is not going to be President.
I don't see much ideologc diversity in this field. Fringe candidates seem to pull the party leftward. Evidence Beto's damaging salvo on assault type weapons.

 

I think we should be vocal about assault weapons though. If we don't speak up it sort of gets swept under the rug. I'm glad he said something. And I'm happy when companies stop stocking them or manufacturing them, but I suspect they're still available.

 

All these corporate media "debates" are really more about these media empires promoting their current stable of news "stars" than they are about presenting real debates between the candidates. And instead of the "questions" being objectively neutral, they are mainly intended to be "gotcha" points not so much to embarrass the candidates but again to be fodder for the media to repackage their "star" reporter into promotional ads for that network's news shows and its celebrity news stars, which are usually paid millions because the networks know that its news programs featuring certain news personalities will bring in millions in advertising fees. In the interest of full disclosure, these news networks should flash onscreen whenever each reporter asks a debate question, how much that reporter/news celebrity is paid.

 

Not only do 1,000 economists disagree about inflation, Yang's UBI plan is projected to grow the economy by $2.5 trillion in 5 years. Plus, it alleviates the strain put on our budget by things like welfare and food stamps. It takes money out of the bureaucrats hands and puts it into our hands so we can solve our own problems. Not sure how that's the same ideology as the rest of the field. Feel free to elaborate when you have the time.

Conventional wisdom says that giving out free money to people that don't work would be a drain on the people that do but it doesn't really work that way at all because of BS jobs.

Its better if a person stays home then does a BS job that consumes resources rather then producing something.

Like corporate lawyers or telemarketing for example , all those people burning fuel, wearing out cars and the roads back and forth to 'work', the heating and air conditioning in the building, the maintenance, office supplies... So now even more people have to work just to support the people doing the 'work' that produces nothing.

Then how many of those people have children, so now more people have to work watching the children of all those people whose work produces nothing.

It like totally metastasizes.

Strange how after the invention of the diesel engine and modern farm equipment we went from something like 80% of people doing agriculture down to 2% but after the invention of the personal computer e-mail fax machine... the internet where one person can easily do the job of 10 office workers 40 years ago we now have more office workers then ever before , why ?

Too many BS jobs.

I think Andrew Yang gets this but the mainstream media totally put the dude on ignore so I am not sure.

I support the guaranteed income for unemployed city workers who move out to the country or areas with lower housing costs. I do not want to support landlords in San Francisco or New York.

Kind of a contradiction, they both rip us off in a similar way.

But city workers are also landlords always gaming the system in all these different ways making everyone's property tax extortion go up for city 'services' most of them no one even wants.

 

Debates always seem to focus on the most establishment and least interesting candidates. This is true of both major parties (not to mention third parties who get hardly any representation at all).

 

He might be a hell of a lot smarter because he is an actual doctor.

This thing is so rigged in so many ways. Now its the Middle East, why can't we just make the Middle East a we don't care zone ? Most Americans will live their entire lives and never even visit the place even once.

Of course Yang never got to Answer. Now its China, Will they skip Yang Again ?
