thats lovely... i just checked to see if ratdog was coming to my area, and about 2 weeks ago there was a show thats about a 25 minute drive from me. :( oh well, maybe the tour will be extended or something. or maybe, even better, the dead'll anounce a tour really last minute

everyone's got to get over this jerry garcia thing......yes he was the face everyone associated with the band....but that does not mean the rest aren't kick ass......the Dead is one of the best shows i've ever seen.....

I went to Phil Leshes Book signing in Chicago and someone asked him what was up with the tour this summer his response was "I cant tell ya about this summer"

So my guess is that they'll be back next summer

Of course the Dead will be back this summer.

Not only is it the 40th anniversary of the Grateful Dead but also the 10th anniversary of Jerry's death.

I'm thinking this tour will be special...

    can't wait.

Me too. I've never seen them on tour but I am a huge fan! This would be my first concert of them!

It doesn't seem like there's gonna be much happening with the Dead this summer. No dates as of May 7, so I'm not expecting anything.

Phil & Friends is touring in the fall, so there'll obviously be no Other Ones tour in the fall...personally I think P&F is better than the Other Ones anyway, so I'm excited to see P&F.

I'd say there is still a chance of the other ones putting on a small festival like the Terrapin Station @ Alpine, but i doubt there will be a full fledged other ones tour

I heard some P and F and I thought they kind of did a crappy job of Fire on the Mountain, and a few of the other songs I heard seemed to be lacking in something... maybe it was just the particular show.
