I only open the fb to keep up with my son. hes on a body building kick. and I just like a bunch of husky and german shepherd dog lover pages. concert and event stuff.. other than that, I just troll news comments.

 

it opened up and poured for 3 minutes....it was over before I could roll up the windas on the truck.....

 

I was only on facebook for less than a year (2011). Then I deleted my account.

I did however tell my sister to her face a year ago May that I just don't like her. That pretty much shut her up and my life has been a lot better since, without her criticisms and armchair quarterbacking about me taking care of our Dad. She would dictate from afar about what I should or should not be doing. I told her that if she could do better she could move here and actually help. Instead she moved to New Mexico.

I actually just got through with "talking" to this most irritating individual. I DO call them out, and say what I think but I am nice about it. Well, I start out nice, and then I just state what I think as clearly as I can.

That is where the "rub" comes in...is in NOT being 2 faced; but, in taking up for myself and saying what I think or believe. I just got through telling this person that for years and years and years no matter what anybody said to me, I never really took up for myself. I would "gently" try to get someone to see my point of view but I would never push it. HOWEVER, those days are gone. I then added "Even though I am capable of having a thought without sharing it, unlike some people, I don't see myself sitting by while I'm talked down to."

They then told me they had more patience than me. smh

I replied that "I certainly have never seen any evidence of that", and then I even gave an example of their lack of patience.

Did not go over well.

I said Karma is a bitch, and they didn't like that At ALL!

Perhaps I'll be able to peruse fb at my leisure for a while anyway.

I am in love with Zeus the husky videos. There are some parrot videos I also quite enjoy.

 

and the worst part is that "those" types of siblings are the first to show up to haul stuff away when a family member dies....

 

My cousin was my best friend till he got married. Shit happened and fast forward to now...I won't talk to him online. He has my number if he wants to talk he can call me. That is until his wife started more shit. Now I won't talk to him until he is divorced. My mom made us promise not to let her at my mom's funeral. Maybe the reason FB gets a bad wrap is from the toxic people on there but I find if you don't follow or friend those people it is a nice place to visit for 5 minutes a day.

 

Dad has been having health issues since before he and Mom moved here in 2002. Mom died in 2008 and Dad got his pacemaker almost 4 years ago. Since then she has moved from NM to Vermont and back to NM. She makes sure she is far away and unable to help with any of Dad's care.

That is not likely to happen. Originally she was "the one" who was deemed stable (was married and had kids) and she was their POA and executrix of their wills etc. After Mom and Dad moved here they made up new wills and a Trust and placed me as POA and executrix. That could be some of her current problems. BUT I was the one that my parents thought would be fair when all was said and done. I want Dad's money to last his lifetime and if some is left over it will be divided. I think she really just wants the money.

 

there are a whole bunch of people that i only deal with because hubby isnt ready to set the bridge on fire. but he knows that. all he has to do is give me a signal and i will start "being honest"

seriously. i am standing on the bank, next to the bridge, grinning and waving, having a pleasant smoke. just waiting. because there is already plenty of accelerant on the bridge. i am an island. i dont need no stinkin bridges. but so long as hubby asks me to curb my tongue, i will.

but i wouldnt piss on those people to put them out if they were on fire. i would probably look for marshmallows instead.

 

$40 a day to park your car at the concert I am going to this weekend. What a rip off! It seems to be double the cost of when college football games are at this same venue. :bomb:

Maybe I can find some neighborhood to use or something. It's summer and school is out so space should be free.
