The day I quit smoking weed

You ever think that maybe, just maybe YOU saved yourself? Maybe you had a personal realization that your life was headed in a dead end. It is possible that you control your own life and that you are not being controlled by some spooky creator.

On the other hand, maybe you are. I cannot say I know for sure that there is no god or Jesus any more than you can claim that there is. After all, all I know is that I know nothing. Faith is a great thing to have, but I come from the belief that it is never a good idea to force your own personal beliefs upon anyone else. Believe me, it's gotten me in far too much trouble before. Just something to think about.

"The word" is nothing but a book written by people. PEOPLE. the fact that you take a book written by people as a direct representation of gods word is ridiculous. I mean, your entitled to your own opinion. I dont want to diss your religious views (i love you too =]) but i cant standdddd the way you christians go about arguing stuff. when their religion comes into question they shut down, deny deny deny and then bring up the bible as justification for their reasoning. it annoys the shit out of me.

Just curious. Do you think your religion is right and all others wrong? Does everyone that isn't born into a christian family, or doesn't adopt christian beliefs go to hell? have you ever read about the egyptian sun god? If you think jesus is original..think again. MANYY of the stories told about jesus in the bible have occured in egyptian gods and other religions as well. take for example Horus: horus, the egyptian sun god was....concieved by a virgin, (named meri), fostered by a father named joseph, witnessed being born by shepards, baptized at age 30, had 12 disciples, walked on water, cast out demons, cured the blind, raised the dead, was crucified, buried in a tomb, went to hell, raised to heaven....ALL THE SAME AS JESUS. think about it. Jesus, god, mary, joseph. its mythology. they are stories. 2000 year old stories. there are thousands of religions. who is right? i dont know and neither do you. period. sorry. i decided that if you were going to impose views on us that i would share mine with you.

TheLizardKingMike... The thing is that God helped me get through my sobriety and to this day when my body wants me to smoke weed or do coke the only thing that stops me is my relationship with God. It's the only thing that convicts me.. with out that relationship I would most undoubtedly be doing drugs, drinking, etc.

But that's not to say you can't get sober on your own.. But my point is still this.. that it is not about smoking weed or not smoking weed or being sober or using.. it's about having a relationship with Christ..

I would rather die high on crack having a relationship with Christ than die after living a good life and not having a relationship with Him..

It's pretty simple.


SORRY for the people who just are not getting this.. I don't want to push you away from Christ but at the same time if you read the word in John 6:66 people turned from Christ and He probably knew that was going to happen but He TOLD THEM THE TRUTH anyway. I think there might have been a prophet or more than one(Sorry, this is a little flimsy at this part) that was told to warn some people even though he knew they were going to deny his words..

Dude, honestly.. I am not a scholar by any means.. But I have been filled with the Holy Spirit, pray in tongues, and cast out demons in the name of Jesus, along with other things that are pure evidence of Christ..

Therefore, I do not know all the theological answers to your questions but I still know that that Christ is God in the flesh and He sent His Holy Spirit to Earth and who so ever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. the end.

I WANT TO CHALLENGE ALL OF YOU:
Most of you probably don't really care about getting to the bottom of this.. you took one look at Christianity and said "idiots" and for good reason often times because SO many Christians misrepresent Christ, especially in America. But just because some of the follows are not doing a good job does not mean the leader is not right.

So my challenge is this.. Pray, pray, and pray. Ask Yahweh to expel the darkness in your soul with His pure light. Read the Bible, WITH PEOPLE WHO KNOW THE WORD. There are a lot of things you could get hung up on if you do not know the word. Then, get some people who are filled with the Holy Ghost to lay hands on you and pray for you in the Name of Jesus Christ. watch what happens..
