so this happened yesterday. I was in the rite aid when the cashier was a trangender.. first a man was waiting on people with that machine, but he went somewhere to help a customer. The trans then operated the cashier spot when this women in front of me was said "you go ahead, I dont want to be waited on by that freak".. I said "what did you say?". and she repeated herself, and I said "the only person here thats a freak is you!!".. she stomped off to the back of the store. where I suppose she could be waited on by the pharmacy. trans person apologized to me. I told her nothing to be sorry for..

 

People are weird about stuff that has no effect on them.

shes a product of society. you have to keep me happy ALL the time (which is fucking impossible, happiness, if it comes from anywhere, is ffrom within)

no one seems to have a grasp of contentment anymore. i mean, my life isnt great, but im content with it. im better off physically and mentally (if not emotionally) than most people. i have skills that i can use daily to be creative, or just keep us surviving. im content. happiness is just a peak above that. but if you are chasing the dragon of happiness, you are just as doomed as if you were chasing a drug high, because thats the same thing. oxytocin, dopamine, seratonin. gimme more. gimme more. you arent satisfying my insatiable need for more, heres the door.

i busted my butt outside today. going to try and plant some carrots and beets. throw in some other stuff too. its maybe a 3x6 bed edged with old logs. i really need a better set-up, or better access to materials.

i was thinking about buying a bolt of canvas and using it under the walkways. i have uses for whats left too, want to do some sunshades/ awnings and some paintings, but i think it would work better than the landscape fabric under the walkways.

 

I have rabbits around my yard constantly. A few years ago I decided to grow some veggies. My neighbor behind me has a garden every year so I asked him if the rabbits tear it up. He said no but then again I don't grow lettuce or carrots. Something must grow in my yard that they like because I never see them in anybody else's yard except one where I think they live because whenever they get scared that's the only yard they run to.

 

The house's cooling problem through these "heat dome" conditions (weather guys don't know what the fuck is going on so they make up a new "technical term" like "heat dome", "arctic blast", etc. etc.) Anyways... My "coolant" is the basement's air and it's not able to recover a cool temperature over night. Basically the same as an air-conditioner being out of Freon. I need geo-thermal tunnels...

 

Watching expedition unknown but I know exactly. ..he isn't gonna find it and before each commercial he will say something like "oh my God I can't believe it."

Yay! I want my truck sooooo bad.

I noticed the kids next door have made some sort of grass fort/castle and it's trickling onto my lawn. I feel like when I get my truck I should just run over it, and flatten it into the ground, just to be an asshole! but I'm going to go show my uncle first because he'll be very much jelly of it hehe. Though I suspect he'll want to use it and see if he likes it as he needs a new car on the farm too. And I'll be like yeah right, uncie Günther, you better pay up! You can rent it for 50€ an hour and you gotta fill her back up!

So, I've now say goodbye to my little VW rabbit. Gave her a big hug, my Ostara who did so well for us. But two cars just isn't necessary for us so yeah. off she goes! To a new and loving home. I hope I see her on the streets. You know, maybe I should have sold it to my younger cousins.... Meh whatever. Ain't no family rates with me, pay up! I'll even take food stamps and MacDonalds monopoly stickers.

rabbits like things that stick up. blades of grass that poke straight up so they can nibble the tips. carrot greens are that way, until they get established and are too tall for the rabbits to get to easily. cabbage is a favorite, and the edges of the leaves are often upward turned. i have seen them eating bindweed and clover in my yard, and they would not let me grow beans. took out most of my melons too. but now that the vines are established they arent messing with what survived. its not an easy balance to keep low-maintenance.


i wanted to add that i walked into a branch today hard enough to embed it in my leg... a little. didnt really even hurt, but i came inside to have hubby pull the chunk out, just to show him how tough i am. it was about 1/4 inch in my calf. no big deal, i cleaned it up and got back to work outside. then later, i dropped a pocketknife and cut the side of my foot. not too deep, but enough to bleed, and i didnt feel the cut because it was so sharp, i just started to feel the blood drip. what a day. im covered in "cars" bandaids.

 

Right. Hubby can't fill his a minute before they say.

 

i usually try not to say much about people but that is one of the most selfish childish self centered materialistic posts i've ever read

 

did a brake job today for a regular client

he calls and says evrything is fine after a road test (he was at his lakehouse for the weekend not home when i did the work at his place)

then not even 20 minutes later i get the dreaded problem call brakes are smoking hot on one wheel

so i go out again and nothing is stuck i cant figure out why it did that all i could do was take it all apart and run the caliper piston in and out which seems just fine and then we test drive it to another town and back and its all ok...so i guess its fixed whatever the problem was remains a mystery until it happens again

 

This is weird...

Okay, I'll bite.... If she wasn't wearing it how did it get there?
