Just had a couple friends over, we broiled some steaks and had them with asparagus, potato salad and beer and watched Aquaman on HBO. Shit like that helps keep us sane. Yes it's a risk and I am over 60 but I'm trying to live my life. We did take some precautions, everyone washed their hands first and we smoked pot from separate bowls. I hope things don't get so bad that I don't dare do something like this.
Interesting turn of events as of late. Kinda felt things were going to be different for me before the year. What Do You Want To Do Before Year End? Have the movie Escape From New York. It would be amusing to watch that now. When i run i sometimes see this homeless man who looks happy and blissed out. Maybe he feels things are finally balancing out.
We literally just started the stay-at-home order as of yesterday. In addition to all of this, our mayor has imposed a curfew that will be enforced, and if you’re caught out between 9pm and 6am, we will be criminally charged for this violation. I have plenty to do to keep me busy, i.e. working out, yard work, housework (spring cleaning), grilling, personal file sanitation/organization, texting and FaceTime with family and friends, HF, Netflix, YouTube, etc.
Not bad, but I got this thing at home called a treadmill with similar results, no dish soap required..
I've been getting by. The biggest challenge has been trying to get groceries by delivery because certain things aren't available or are out of stock.
Forgot about that thread. But there were definitely times i had the urge to post my own naked butt there for amusement. Lucky for you i'm not well liked so the hesitance. Or maybe i should just to piss people off.
I still go to the supermarket myself, haven't resorted to delivery yet. There are two of them within a mile of me and if I'm not getting a lot of groceries I'll walk to the store with a little backpack to bring them back in, it gives me some time out of the house and some exercise. There is also a Rite-Aid pharmacy and a 7-11 within a block of me so I spend some time there, especially since a friend works at the 7-11. And I know of a couple coffee shops besides Starbucks which are still open, and if they don't let you drink it outside you can walk to a bar that's closed down and sit at their outdoor tables. So this is the dangerous life I'm living these days, mundane tasks which help me to fight the dreariness of a pandemic. I hope my risky behavior doesn't result in me getting really sick but if I do you people will be among the first to know. I am washing my hands frequently and keeping my distance from others and hopefully that will be enough to keep me healthy until this is over.
