Now that you mention it, I'm not sure I can visit my brother. He lives in Illinois which has a stay at home order in place. So can I drive through there or not? It's a 5 hour drive on the Interstate. I've Googled it and can't find a satisfactory answer.
A stay at home order doesn't mean you can't go there to visit. People aren't actually ordered to stay home. It means Non-essential businesses are closed and there's not a lot to do outside the house. You can visit him but he won't be able to take you to a bar, restaurant, movie, etc. So ask yourself if it's worth the five hour drive.
Rode my bike around today, got some exercise, helps build up my immune system. Stopped at a coffee shop that still lets you drink it at their tables outside. Later I rode to a park where there were lots of people hanging out. Unfortunately there was no bathroom so I couldn't stay long. Need to find a park with a bathroom, maybe some of us can have a picnic there sometime. Talked with some friends about having a barbecue, It's only March but the weather's been pretty nice lately, but now the forecast calls for rain over the next several days so that's on the back burner. So if I'm stuck at home in shitty weather my options are watch TV, read books & magazines and surf the web. With all this spare time I got caught up on my chores, my place is clean. Maybe I should paste wax my car, except that it's going to rain. Just remembered I have a crossword puzzle book, I'll work on that. I could go for a drive but with everything closed down I don't see much point to it. I might do it anyway. Thank God the liquor stores and pot dispensaries are still open! I have enough weed to last a couple weeks but maybe I'll pick up a new strain just for the hell of it. And some edibles. Anyway these are my latest attempts to cope. Hang in there everyone, hopefully it will end when they say it will. We don't want an extension on the lockdowns, but we all know it could happen.
Er, are people fighting in the street now? Looks like Morrissey might have had the right idea all along...
Nothing New About That Post........I Have Always Been Of The Opinion That That Was Indeed Your Daily Routine....... Cheers Glen.
Called a lady friend of mine, told me she was just getting over a fever, has felt like shit for the past week, so it's likely she has the coronavirus. It would be the first instance of someone I know getting it. She hasn't seen a doctor, made her promise me she would if she has a bad relapse. There are currently around 200 reported cases in Oregon but it appears that number is dwarfed by the number of unreported cases, people who caught it but it was mild or people who got sick but are treating it at home. Naturally this must be the case everywhere. So if any of you get sick and are staying home please keep us posted. You can help us by telling us how you're coping so we can do the same if we catch it. And we can help you with our support and suggestions. Hipforums has been like an online support group for me at times over the years and now it seems this website is more important than ever in filling that role.
It won’t be much longer before every one of us knows someone who came down with the virus whether a friend, family member, or a colleague
I wonder how many people here have it. I know a few on other forums that said they tested positive for it. I'm sick myself but with a cold. My temp was 98.3 F. No fever or dry cough or anything like that. I'll likely just stay home most of the week. Next week i'll feel better and hopefully the temps will be warmer so i can be outdoors more. Made some dark chocolate brownies today. Came out great. Haven't felt bored yet. I live in a highly infected area. Not worried about the virus. I feel its blown out of proportion. I'll just stay home for a few weeks if get it. If i die from it, that would be a blessing. More worry about the fear based herd mentality and government than the virus.
Naturally most would think that. Death is seen as some horrible or tragic event. I don't see it that way. To me life and death is a blessing. I feel people's minds are conditioned to think death in itself is something horrible.
