    I don't believe quoting the Bible is not permitted here, what is not permitted is using religious quotes to proselytize. Especially long repeated efforts in that direction.
    Short quotes used in an intellectual or educational manner should be okay.

    But maybe you want to check with ZenKarma so as not to get in trouble.

    Let me remind everyone to be civil to each other.
    We don't have to agree on everything to be friends, this place would be awful boring if everyone believed everything I believe...or believed everything you believe.

    In order to be able to think, you have to risk being offensive

    I sometimes wish I had my bully side under better control, but in order to be able to try to get non-thinkers to think, you have to risk being offensive and I do not mind taking the heat for being in a religionist's face, especially given the damage religions do with their homophobia and misogyny.

    Fascinating thread, but remember, we do have a rule about insulting others in the heat of an argument. Please refrain from name calling and other such nonsense. While we do encourage free speech, we do not encourage hate speech or the belittling of other members who might dare to disagree with someone's pet theory about this or that.

    That happens, sure, but when I get to that point, it is the lurkers I think of and not the doubled down in stupidity interlocutor.
    Showing an opponent to just be obtuse is good.

    Turning the other cheek rewards evil and I do not do it.

    Hmm. So showing hate against genocide, inquisitions and jihads, slavery, racism etc., and those who support such vile concepts is not allowed.

    Interesting.

    Change the labels in this quote to women, minorities, gays or children being brainwashed by religions and it shows what we should be thinking and doing for each other.

    I try to write to a generic issue, but if a guy supports evil, I think he should be called out for it.

    Political correctness for such vile minds does not always work.

    If the guy who tried to force Rosa Parks to the back of the bus, was in this site posting, strange that you would likely ban me for calling him a racist S.O.B.

    Labelling and name calling without a purpose should be prohibited as that is harassment. Fair labelling should not be.

    That should be done without a bunch of f--k yous etc., attached.

    Some sites go overboard on their standards but standards they must have to safeguard the site from predation.

    This sites seams well governed. I can think of improvements but that is due to a career in technical sales and marketing and tend to try to see future trends.

    a sales background and marketing really isn't the benchmark of HF though is it? They don't sell anything and though don't market toward selling anything.
