howdy lol what are you up to tonight?

 

i'm working until 10. i'm reeeeeaalllly bored but only 20 more minutes till i leave. then i have to be back here at 8 tomorrow morning

i work at a gas station. you?

 

it's just been stressful, all of my classes just happened to have a ton of important shit due so of course i've been scrambling.

specifically today though, we got our grades on this grou project that we did. we have a student teacher right now, so of course shit fucking sucks but this guy is ridiculous. we got a 75 on the thing, the highest grade in the class was like a 91, which is definitely telling you something about how fucked in the head he is. my group talked to him after class about how we did NOT deserve a 75. we certainly didn't deserve an A, but a C is ridiculous. an 84 would have been a fair grade. in my entire LIFE i have not once recieved a 75 on a project, how is a STUDENT TEACHER going to tell me that i should start that now? it's not like we were fucking slacking off either, every second we had to work on it (which wasn't much, mind you. 45 minutes maybe) we were busy as fuck. this project was 25% of the grade for this unit, which traslates to ~12.5% of the marking period grade. this isn't going to kill me, but it will make a dent.

to be honest, i'm making an organized list of complaints about this guy and presenting it to the teacher. i know it's not going to change anything, but at least i'll be letting the teacher know how i feel about the whole thing. it's not even entirely this project either, this guy has just be completely unreasonable with his grading. nevermind the fact that we haven't even gotten back half of the work we handed in, so we won't even have time to question it since he's leaving in a few days.

during the 11th grade, in no way, shape, or form should a person who isn't even certified to teach be handing out grades. this is the most important year of a highschool career, student teachers should not have that kind of power. in an 8th or 9th grade class, that is reasonable. 11th grade? absolutely not.

again, i know it's not going to change anything, but i haven't cooled off by now (this all happened around lunch) and i really feel like i need to say something. my group asked him why we got a 75, he had no real answer in his response. he basically said that grade is our grade and there's nothing that he was going to do. so i figure if he's not going to do anything, then i atleast have to do SOMETHING. i will smear his grade report (because they DO get graded) just like he's smearing mine.

aw that sucks! i agree, some fucking student teacher giving out shitty grades? who's he think he is? if you were working on that project hard then what was the reason he didn't like it?

Be happy that a 75 is a solid C, at my school you would have a solid D, but yeah that is some BS

 

Anything below a 60 is a solid F.
