Your sig makes me want to read the book, and put away the DVD for awhile. I read that Hunter Thompson wrote a book on the song, 'the tamberine man' by Bob Dylan.....I need to order that too.

i dont know if he wrote it ON the song, but he quotes the song frequently in many of his books.

I had to look back at my "The Best Of Bob Dylan" cd and the booklet says that Thompson dedicated a book to the song, not wrote about it.....I was mistaken.
Is there any of Thompsons stuff that you would recomend? I've been wanting to get more into his writings but I don't know where to begin.

Noooo! Don't read Fear and Loathing first. Get one of his earlier books first. I suggest Hell's Angels, or Rum Diary.

I didnt like Hells Angels....if you want to read a book about hells angels, read sonny barger's book.....way better that hunter's

Hells Angels was like a biography of the club...there's not too much of Hunter in the book...I mean, stylistically(spelling?) Its like a cut-n-dry report on the club
