Since your favorite rock band is the DOORS: Do you know how the DOORS got the idea for the name of their band? Supposedly from ALDOUS HUXLEY'S book: THE DOORS OF PERCEPTION, which is about HUXLEY'S experiences with the psychedelic drug MESCALINE (as found naturally in PSYCHEDELIC CACTI, like PEYOTE). The DOORS music was heavily influenced by LSD. JIM MORRISON was famous for TRIPPING!

Mescaline and LSD, both have similar chemical structures and effects, but basically act as chemical KEYS, that attach to certain brain-receptors, and open up DOORS to higher states of consciousness and astral planes. The human brain's PINEAL GLAND ("pine-cone" shaped and nicknamed "THE THIRD EYE") is supposedly responsible for our connection (DOORWAY) into HIGHER DIMENSIONS of the universe.

Some spiritual masters don't recommend PSYCHEDELIC DRUGS (as they "unnaturally" SHOCK the body and interferes with natural spiritual evolution). They look at them as type of short-cut to spiritual evlotion. However, SHAMANS and NATIVE AMERICANS use them wisely!

But know you know how the rock band the DOORS came up with the name for their band!

I have many old records and newer CD's of the most popular 60's/70's bands, the 80's had the most CREATIVE MUSIC, as it went in many CREATIVE DIRECTIONS - NEW WAVE, PUNK, INDUSTRIAL, NEO-PSYCHEDELIC. 80's bands like: The Sisters of Mercy, Dead Can Dance and the DIVINYLS were popular. FLIPPER had an unusual sound, as it sounded like they were on ACID, while playing underwater!

To reach the MOST HARMONIOUS FUTURE, for our planet EARTH, HIPPIES (both YOUNG and OLD) must spread the consciosness of LOVE and PEACE across our planet! WE MUST HELP our fellow humans, and exhibit COMPASSION and LOVE toward them, RESPECT their WAYS and NOT FIGHT EACH OTHER! For EARTH'S SPIRITUAL ASCENSION in 2012, it is KEY!!!

Huxley got the name for the book from a William Blake poem, and Jim was a fan of his poetry too. He knew that it was originally from there. I've read The Doors of Perception, I thought it was really interesting and liked it very much
