Some people think the British Commonwealth of Nations is just a rebirth of the old British empire. And some older people in the UK may see it that way. But from a practical standpoint, it does a lot of good. All its members work together for world peace, liberty, human rights, equality, free trade and a better life for all. And you realize, since 1949, it has been the Commonwealth of Nations. It is no longer British. In fact, the last four nations to join by 2009, Mozambique, Rwanda, Gabon and Togo, were never even former members of the empire.
