banning it in all public places is ridiculous. each establishment should get to decide if they're going to allow it or not. if a smokers choses to go to a place where she can't smoke inside, then she knows she'll have to go outside or to her car to smoke. if a non-smoker choses to go to a place where smoking is allowed, then that's their choice.
