Who said anything about a bridge? I am talking about the Trans-Texas Corridor/NAFTA Superhighway that will extend from Mexico to Canada, bypassing all customs.

 

Is this not a sign of things to come? This didn't happen yesterday... such a situation has been generated for generations. Things cost more, yet the dollar is worth less... it can only get worse.

Its not "easy" to be poor anymore, being poor means working a full time job, sometimes more. $15k a year doesn't accomplish much when your obligated to $1300+ a month to fill your stomach/gas tank... and sleep without worrying about someone stealing your car/breakin in your house.

$15k in your pocket means you could have made 20k+ with no income tax... let alone all the other taxes your money will meet.

It DOES NOT have to be like this, it at one point WAS NOT like this.

Everyone who assumes "everything will be ok" is not aware of the situation. Everything is NOT OK right now, how is there any hope for things to get BETTER without major changes in our government and state mentality?

It is mainstream news. A buncha texans would not hold a convention discussing how they want to get rid of superhighway for nothing. Pretty much all Texans (95%) oppose the building of this superhighway.

to the original poster..if canada's money is worth so much more,why is my friend up there paying $8 for a pack of cigs,when I can get mine for $3?Makes me wonder what you pay for gas there

 

i paid $11 for a pack of export green cigs, and we pay around 1.05 a litre in ontario, so about 3.9-4.0 $ for a gallon of gas
