"The earliest credible evidence of coffee-drinking appears in Yemen in southern Arabiain the middle of the 15th century in Sufishrines.[5] It was here in Arabia that coffee seeds were first roasted and brewed in a similar way to how it is now prepared. But the coffee seeds had to be first exported from East Africa to Yemen, as the Coffea arabicaplant is thought to have been indigenous to the former.[6] Yemeni traders took coffee back to their homeland and began to cultivate the seed. By the 16th century, the drink had reached Persia, Turkey, and North Africa"
I like coffee. At different times during the day too! Not just in the morning, but in the late afternoon when I have some time on my hands I reach for the decaf because it's too late for me to be wired. I like lightly roasted flavors as much as dark roasts too. In fact, I'm in the middle of having my morning coffee now!
i don't get the appeal at all. it doesn't taste that good, the supposed energy effects don't actually exist, it upsets my stomach, and it makes your breath awful. i think it also stains your teeth, but i'm not completely sure about that one.
I love black coffee and the occasional latte. I don't understand the appeal of saturating one's coffee with sugar and cream.
I like the occasional cappuccino, but I'm lactose intolerant, so... Most of the time, it's just a black cuppa with a sprinkle of cinnamon
