Its raining and raining here. I surely hope it doesn't freeze and/or turn into snow.

If it does snow, I will be snow bound at home here. period.

Broony knows how to drive in the snow, as do many of you, no doubt. I don't, and I know my limitations. :)

I have to work tomorrow...and I plan to go to the grocery store before I go to work. I might wind up being snow-bound, but dang if I'll be without my snack food. (I'm also planning on not being snow bound until after tomorrow night, when I get home from work. lol)

    Frog is false.

I am ignoring him hoping he will just go away.

Wildlife in the city. It always amazes me how much wildlife is around here. I live in an apartment building and someone has been leaving food out for some stray cats. Grace's first walk of the day is around 3 am. For the last few weeks as we are coming down the last set of stairs to exit the building we have seen a raccoon eating the cat food and drinking the water set outside the front door for the cats. He was there this morning.

One of the cats that hangs around is friends with my dog and comes with us on our morning walk. We went on our walk and as we were coming back to the building I heard leaves rustling as if someone was walking down the sidewalk next to the cars but there wasn't a person visible. As we started to cross the street and come back in the building I noticed a skunk running by. Grace wanted to chase skunk. Cat sat back and ignored it. I held Grace back and told her that she did not want to mess with that animal. I am sure if she were off leash this story would have a whole different ending.

    Oh my, Specs!

I sure do hope that kitty that likes to accompany y'all has had a rabies shot. Even though we may go a time without me seeing a raccoon on the porch, I always wind up seeing one. I'm so glad I just made myself grow some balls and begin giving the outside cats...well, now the outside cat his rabies shot.

I'm super paranoid about wildlife animals coming around the house here.

Since the damnshitting snakes seem to enjoy this home so much, I guess I should be glad they don't transmit rabies.

Well, rather than editing that above, I'm just going to say that I don't think transmit is the right word. lol I'm glad those AWFUL snakes that love it here so much don't GIVE OR CARRY rabies.

About wildlife - I've come this l l close to having deer jump out in front of my car a number of times in the last several weeks on my drive home at night.

Barely missing a deer, or it barely missing you is a truly :yikes: moment.

As much as I care about animals I am not one to feed them outside. The cat that Grace likes has had some medical help. Last year it somehow hurt its front right leg. He/she was missing for about a month and then brought back. Still limps, still hangs around. I would have brought her in a few years ago but my cat Ember would not have anything to do with that.

I have not noticed snakes around here but have seen deer, opossum, squirrels (obviously), raccoon and skunks. I do not live in a large city but have to say seeing deer walking down my street is a real trip.

Oh, I do...and I'm going to do another [IMG] for that...and I Just Now realized that its TODAY I work, not tomorrow. duh :p

I doubt very seriously if I'll leave the property here Thanksgiving, even though many stores will be open. I've about gone through all my personal snack food, and should have gone to the grocery store yesterday/Tuesday but didn't.

I'm also planning on the snow bound thing not happening until after Thanksgiving.

Edit: and I simply refuse to say what usually happens to my "planning" when it involves weather, which of course is completely out of my hands. lol

hope you feel better. I hurt my back the other day too, but I dont even know how. I think it was from the wind. when you have to walk and tighten up in the windchill, I think thats what it was.
