Could have gotten a 12 inch brick saw today at Goodwill... Diamond blade was even still good. I had to pass because I just didn't have the $30...

I've heard tombstone - I knew a buzzbox was a welder, but I didn't know it was one of those specifically.

I don't know what crackerbox is all about, but that's what everyone calls them here.

Apparently a few other people are interested in it, was 21 bucks, I put 22, and walk by a second later and see it's 24 - I'm not even going back to look until a few minutes before the auction ends, I'd just end up driving the price up for nothing. It's the little single welder, it's going to attract a bunch of other cheap jerks like me.

Assuming you wanted one of those, and it was generally assumed to work, what would you pay, with no leads? I don't want to get too far in with what leads cost, and with the fact it's only AC anyway, and I've never even been able to strike an AC arc, when I can weld DC fine.

I went to grocery store, 1.2 miles away, 25 mph drive. coming home cop about to pass I knew I didn't have seatbelt on so I acted left, like I was grabbing something and the cop in his brand new truck (they all were replaced here recently) stuck his hand out the window and waved like something in a children game.. so happy of a wave.. big wtf.

The sun setting, overcast, a charcoal color vehicle, hat, sunglasses, tinted windows, short drive, cop excited as hell to wave as he pass you. Fucking creepy. Damn creepy.

don't know what else to say now, and now its first night of snowfall. sick of this shit already.

Today...well, technically yesterday - Nov. 21st was my boy's birthday. He was 31. I guess he may be getting too old to call him my boy; but well...I'll still always call him my boy. :)

He really liked his present(s) of 3 boxes of 50 9mm bullets each and a nice ($23) stocking cap with his team colors and the paw on it. So, that tickled me that he was happy enough to text me about it. yay!

Other that that, weekend nights SUCK GREAT BIG GREEN BUGARS working at McD's. :bomb: (just in case y'all haven't heard me gripe ad nauseum about that. lol)

Mother's Love, I think you've "caught one" ... so you might not have to work on making one anymore. It is always fun to practice. :D

Freezing rain out now. We barely made it down the icy stairs to the front yard so Grace could do her business. I guess we will go out in a couple hours when all of this is supposed to melt.

On the news they have reports of dozens of car accidents on the roads around Columbus OH. I would rather be in where it is warm and dry.

oh yes, i think i have caught one, but the latest miscarriage ive ever had was at 8 weeks. i wont be able to breathe easy until at least then.

but i do feel more similar to the way i did when i was pregnant with the boys than with my MCs. the nausea is not as bad yet as it was with the boys, so im hoping its a single, but still. wont be done trying until theres a baby in my arms :)

Ahh, I don't think this will go close to 100, could be wrong - bidding ends in 2 hours, I'll head over a bit before it ends and see if I can't grab it.

I've always heard that about mig, never done it - I know stick is limited (especially on my main target, cars - unless it's a really ugly car already) but I love the simplicity of requiring no more than a power source and a stick.

And there's benefits that come with simplicity - 225a is nothing to sneeze at, it's more than twice what a hundred dollar welder from harbor freight will do, and a lincoln might outlive me, while a harbor freight turd might not outlive the first rod.

Well hot damn, got me a welder.

The price was like 113 dollars, and I was standing around feeling bitchy, when I met the high bidder - he just wanted all the magazines and records in the lot, no interest in the welder, it was extra junk to him - I spoke too soon about what I'd pay, but he even noticed, and went down on my offer, to 40 - he really doesn't want the thing. Turned out there were like three all going in with him, apparently they collect old print stuff... so I go back in half an hour and pay up and walk away with a welder, and without having to dumpster and recycle a bunch of crap.

I probably could have said ten bucks and got it from him, if I hadn't been in auction-mode - but I think I did okay anyway.

bbad, you being wise in the ways of doing shit wrong and all, what do you think about jumper cables for welding leads?
