Kitchen plan is coming together... I got a lot of other stuff to do first, kitchen is a winter project, but I'm sorting out which piece will go where. I did move the cook top over this evening, but that wasn't anything major, it's kinda just sitting there anyways. Only had to shift it about 4 inches and most of that hole has been there all along. Wasn't even worth getting out any power tools. About 5 minutes with a hand saw and it was done. The range hood will move the same amount some other day and there's now room for that corner cabinet...





Some other day...




I still have that arbor to build this week and finish that siding. Then I have firewood and mowing to deal with.



I already had snow this morning. Running out of time.

there was a short burst of hail today though mixed in with the rain

i serviced my plow today just because im tired of doing it the usual way out in the snow during the first big storm..now its ready to go if i need it.. just 2 pins and chain to hook up and its usable

The actual snow at 9 this morning didn't stick and wasn't much... Probably very local. I'm right on the edge of a south facing ridge. I get odd weather.

 

I have a key that can't be duplicated (without fancy expensive hard to come by blanks) and that I am charged a lot for, if I lose it, and still too much for, if I lock mylself out and need to be let in. For this reason, I have put a hook on the inside of my door at eye level - can't miss it going out, and when I'm using it to come in, my memory is jogged to the importance of hanging it up.

Actually, it's a small nail clipper affixed to the door with double sided tape, but it serves as a hook.

So I'm here another night, somehow able to sit up and type/post after another week of character building. How pitiful is it that McD's really has strengthened me both physically and spiritually? lol However, I'm really not interested in further development or strengthening. for realz


In a little more than 4 years...4 yrs and a few days, I'll be able to retire. The damn gubmint better NOT change a person being able to retire with partial (70%) benefits at age 62.


If I'm able to do as I plan - as opposed to winning the lottery or coming into money in some unexplained way, in which case I will quit work immediately - I will be the 1st person in my family that has chosen and (desperately) WANTS to retire before the age of 73. My grandmother lived to be 101 and she retired early!...at the age of 73.

My mother at age 94 refuses to quit going to the church to do volunteer secretarial work, even though she can't hear from shit. I can't stand the preacher, so I admit quickly to being thrilled with any aggravation he gets, and I KNOW he gets some from her.

Hey...we should all grasp whatever happiness we can find where ever we can get it.
