When that happened, at that time...just up the road - on MY road...it blew my mind, to tell the truth. Maybe not such a fantastic thing to do...blowing my mind, that is. ha :D

But it WAS written up in the paper. I remember thinking about what an awful man he was where the birds had mostly fallen. There were so very many that there were some scattered a bit outside his property.

He was a used car salesman, and sold me, a young woman in her early 20's going back to my then home, an AWFUL car that had been wrecked (I found out later) and fell apart on me on a Sunday as I drove home. He knew I wasn't living here with my mother, just down the road, but that she was buying me the car. There were other things about him...and all that just came together in my head when it was written about. I even cut out the article...have it here somewhere.

Hopefully when I bulldoze here I won't lose it. :dizzy2:

I recall reading other places where birds were falling, and wondering where they'd fallen.

Wow that blows my mind too....and to know he was not a straight shooter and they fell all around his property.....

I wonder if similar stories follow the other birds that dropped from the sky....

Gotta start this plumbing job... I hate iron pipe. I'll be glad when it's gone and replaced with copper... It's the "getting it gone" that's gonna be a bytch.

I'll have to run some new iron pipe when I install the water tank on the boiler coil in the wood furnace, but it's just going to be that one section. It's going to be a passive thermocycle setup to circulate the water from furnace to the storage tank... Gotta figure out how to get that tank up onto a platform that's about 2 feet high so the thermocycle will work.. That should be fun.

The rest of the room is going to be a copper showpiece. Nice neat parallel runs, attached to the wall or hung with copper hangers... Neat soldering, cleaned copper. I'll probably coat some of it to keep it polished looking. This whole utility room is gonna be a showpiece... It's visible from the entryway of the house... Like one of the first things you see. It's gotta look presentable.

This is a rather complex plumbing setup I'm going to have in this utility room. Two water tanks, one wood fired and one electric. Hot water coil in the wood furnace and it's tank runs the radiators in the master bedroom/bathroom. That's the only part of the old boiler system that is still intact. The electric water heater will have heat exchangers in the duct from the wood furnace for "vacation mode"... Not that I ever get a vacation, but if nobody is here to stoke the wood furnace these will keep the house above freezing. I'm gonna have a valve system so both tanks can share hot water when I need them to. Besides all this it feeds the whole house with hot and cold running water.

Yeah... complex system. Plumbers would say "no way" and run for their trucks... Fug them. You want something custom and done right, you have to do it yourself.

in this case i think a lot of it is fluffing for the holidays, that way people do get some time off, and a lot of people leave for school at the end of summer. OG has a pretty reliable revolving door policy, as long as you leave on decent terms. they generally would rather hire back someone in the family.

and our server the other day set his wallet on fire and started doing magic tricks. so im sure he and i would be good friends.

I think purple and green would be the best smells, or they are in incense sticks anyway. Red is always very intense. Blue is very mild.
I use a 4 piece incense formula, almost like Cpt. Planet lol. I have Water, Fire, Metal and Earth scents and there is a green one too but I don't have that at the moment. They are really expensive though compared to others.
