Hey you fine stoner peeps! :sunny:

When I was growing up the legal age for drinking beer and wine was 18, and for liquor you had to be 21. At some point along the way, they decided to make it 21 for all alcohol. I think the reason it changed had a lot had to do with MADD - mother's against drunk driving.

Even though I'm not a huge fan of alcohol (my husband died from exsanguination from alcoholism), I think it is both silly and ridiculous to expect someone to serve and die for their country at age 18, but they can't buy a drink legally? c'mon now

As I type this, I'm having my one glass of cabernet I drink when I get off work...its a nice deep wine glass. lol

Hey Irm...#24 won the race Saturday, which I guess you know. :hurray:
    I LOVE Jeff Gordon.

There are soooo many things I want to comment to this...but I will (try to) be concise.

It literally makes me sick inside that people associate the war-mongering, deceitful Bushes with being super religious. I guess with their mouths they say they believe this and that...but really, I think actions speak louder than words.

I'm not religious, per se, but I am spiritual...and the type of religion they and their ilk practice is nothing I would ever want to be associated with, even though I am a believer in the same God they claim to believe in.

I vote for whom I think will be the best leader, not their beliefs...but I will admit that I would never ever vote for a Mormon. One of my favorite South Park episodes was about Mormonism. South Park, in all its wisdom, :D pretty much summed my feelings on that. lol

There are also some things that are poisonous for some people and not for others, BBAD....Bee stings, for example. I can tolerate those. Some people could actually die....and there are things I cannot tolerate that other people can. I would never eat a random mushroom I just found outside....either, though.

Within the past year, there was an awful thing that happened at one of the nursing homes in this area.

Some stupidass that worked in the kitchen of this nursing home decided to make a mushroom soup from mushrooms they just went out in the yard or woods (or where ever) and harvested.

If I remember right 19 people died.

I can't even imagine that level of ignorance. I thought EVERYBODY knew that mushrooms you "just find" are more likely to be poisonous than not.

OMG, we could by Mad Dog 20/20 in the convenience store for $2 a bottle when we were 16.

We drank it every weekend until we threw up.

    No wonder I get headaches.

:D In high school my good smoking buddy would buy us a bottle of Mad Dog 20/20, some 7up, mix it and would say we were having a wine spritzer. lol I'd drink one with her...I was mostly interested in what was being rolled. ;)

First thing I ever drank and got drunk on was Boonesfarm...drank until I threw up going down the road out the window of the volkswagen my bff was driving. lol

I don't think I've drunk any sweet wine since. :)

I drank it with my guy neighbor right out of the bottle. No spritzers around him.

    We smoke lots.

We knew the night had been successful when we got so fucked up that we puked. We used to do this with one of our best friends who ended up playing in Lynyrd Skynyrd.

    Stupid kids.

Now, I wish I had a sprite or 7 up here. Damn this night is so muggy, and I was bit up out there today by mosquitoes, so I am itching all over....and it is uncomfortable here tonight....so humid, muggy....just awful.....ugh.

Even hotter upstairs...so I dread going up there again.

Get an ice pack, Moon. It's great to stop the itching and to cool off with.
