It might not hurt that the stage has a church type feel about it. That or a barn.

 

Steve Harvey is just so crazy and funny it never seemed to me like anything to do with evangelicals.

See, down here in the southern US I know more about evangelicals than I could ever (or would ever) express...and I can say for certain that show doesn't have an evangelical feel about it at all! :2thumbsup: (not if you've ever really been around them, that is )

 

Some jokes are just completely wasted because of the oversensitive PC crowd.

I'm not all that PC but I thought MH was being serious about the evangelical feel. The fact that everybody must dress RIGHT does initially send one in that direction.

 

I kind of thought that dressing like you had money was stupid.

I was serious. Not just the clothing but Steve Havey's reaction to a lot of things. He's clearly a strong Christian of some sort.

 

I just read that Steve Harvey is a minister.

 

That does explain it!

 

One late late night I happened across a show where Steve Harvey was the guest, and he did talk about being a believer in God. I found the show very interesting as he talked about his life and what all he did etc that led up to the point of him becoming a true believer.

Anyway, it is also interesting to me that you picked up on that, MH. I always thought some of the answers, talk, and his reactions to whatever on the show were because its supposed to be a pg-13 family show.

Edit: On the show I watched, or rather at that time, he didn't say he was a minister. That must have happened after the show I saw.

He uses the word 'sinner' quite often. Usually in jest. And there've been a few other phrases that only a Christian would use.

I've got a thread name in mind...Of course I may forget if this one lasts too long.

 

I'm reading posts on some site where everyone is complaining about how "nasty" the questions and answers have gotten on the show. Someone said it should be called "Filthy Feud".

If they're not complaining about that, then they're complaining saying it's racial.

I don't care.

I've been off of weed for at least a week now.

Strangely enough, my memory appears to be getting worse the less I smoke.
Now if I could just have a little toke, I would maybe be able to remember how long it has been since I last smoked.

My dreams have been getting more vivid and regular, too.
