Breakfast Club is one of my favorites. I saw it in the theator originaly. Alley Sheedys charictor is my favorite. Too bad we never got to hear the whole joke before Bender fell through the celing.
I heard of a remake (I dont know if it ever happend) Frankly,it would probably be rated PG-13 and be a piece of garbage!!
Bumped. No it didn't. I think it is in "development hell". I imagine they are trying to work out how to incorporate 3D elements.
The guy that played the principal died. I liked the part where he walked out trailing toilet paper telling them not to try and make a fool of him.
The device of gathering disparate personalities together in movies is an old one and a good way to mix people and let the dynamics flow. A couple of old ,good ones are "Grand Hotel" back in the 30s,Stagecoach with John Wayne and my favorite--The Outlaw Josey wales. There's another famous one with Marilyn Monroe about a bunch of people on a bus that get stranded, but I can't remember the name of it. When my kids were little,we must have watched Hugh's movies a hundred times!
Best John Hugh's movie ever although I haven't seen 16 Candles, Ferris Bueller's Day Off comes in at a pretty close second.
I now have the official VHS TAPE!!!! -- In analogue (No digital crap (Mastering, digital audio, etc) I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -- Seeing it in ANALOGUE is the BEST way to see this movie
