I get my hair colored the same color it was when I was a kid (brought a picture in and all)-really pale gold. It makes a huge difference! I used to always get ash blonde or dark dark brown. No matter what shade I have always gotten a lot more attention and more dates as a blonde. I don'tknow if it's because I am confident in looking better or the hair color its self.
i'm blonde... i do get evil looks from women sometimes, but recently i don't notice as my eyesight is getting worse and i can't see far. :/
I haven't had many good experiences interacting with platinum blondes, or women that dye their hair every month in general. Natural blondes, I get along with just fine. But for some reason I can't stand the vanity of people who dye their hair for a different look each month. Find out who you are, ok? Then maybe I can. I just have a harder time finding some people to be sincere about themselves. At any rate, I've never dyed my hair. I usually notice that other redheads feel "threatened" in some way by presence in a pub or those kinds of looks at least. But I don't get much attention unless I strike up a conversation.
I used to dye my hair different colours regularly, not because I had trouble finding who I was I have known who I am for a very long time thanks, however I do like variety in my life, that includes the way I look! Is it vanity, absobloodylutely, and why not, whats wrong with making the most of the way you look, and if nature doesnt do it for you then yay for the unnatural!
hahahah, what, other chicks dying their hair means theyre lying -and- makes it harder for you to figure out who they are? its just dye, it doestn change who they are or lie about their personality, its like changing clothes for lots of people before i ever dyed my hair (natural blonde), i got ignored except by friends, blended in with the walls, that sort of thing. then i dyed it bright red, got a lot more attention, mostly positive though people assumed i was a lot ballsier/bitchier than i am sometimes. then i bleached it back to blonde after a few years (reds a bitch to get out) and yeah i got some nasty looks from people when it was still all that shade of blonde that only comes from bleaching.... now my roots have grown in a bunch and you can tell that blonde's my natural colour again and, well, i get a bit morea ttention than before i ever dyed it, not negative attention but i still kind of blend in with the walls.
fuck all of that. if someone likes dying their hair, go for it. i think bansidhe looks lovely in that shade. i think katy does, too. dye your hair platinum? go for it. it's about the same to me as buying a new shirt or getting a haircut. it IS about who you are and showing externally who and what you feel like being. people who get shitty about people wearing makeup or liking a certain style of dress or whatever need to get a life. there's way worse things in this world that people do than enjoy feeling attractive.
though, in my opinion, that particular shade look HORRIBLE on you. you look washed out. you're prettier than that, when i cover the hair. your skin tone is unusual, you should play that up more.
No offense to the blondes, blondes are pretty girls and boys, but I know why alot of the girls get dirty looks, its because men make blonde girls overrated on television and everywhere, and alot of people think thats what a girl has to look like, yes, im a brunette but its all good, I enjoy my hair color, it does not matter to me, blonde is a very pretty color and there is nothing wrong with it, its just if you ever get dirty looks for being a blonde, its just like I said, girls get mad alot because they think they have to look like that or they're just plain out jealous. Lets all get together for once though, everyone is pretty, no matter what hair color, skin type, weight, what have ya, we're all beautiful and never let anyone tell you that you aren't. They dont know what they are talking about. Peace & Understanding, Mariah
I think it is fun and playing around for all of those years helped me find what color and cur make me look my best. And who doesn't want that? I admire people like you who don't feel the need to dye their hair, but for me it's fun and being a lighter blonde than I am makes me feel sunny and happy.
Yes, and I'm fine with that. I was just saying that I have a harder time finding some people to be sincere when they discuss changing their appearance every month and ask my advice about which colour their hair should be. I do give them my honest opinion, (It looked good with blonde highlights) but I have a hard time genuinely being interested with people that change their appearances too often. My brain can't find the person inside. Taking the time to find the right colour is understandable, and I don't judge people so readily and openly if they have a bright pink mohawk or any of that. I just have a harder time figuring some people out as a result. *shrugs*
At least it seems to work for you. When Jane started to go grey, she got tired of the roots growing out when she dyed it back to its original chestnut brown. She thought that dying it blonde would help to solve the problem, but the combination of the dyes turned her hair bright purple. LOL
My extreme hair is pink or purple. I don't think I could from dark to blonde. I don't think I have a blonde personality. I don't think I'm high maintenance.
Isn't the "blondes are stupid" thing a bit... last century. Anyway, I smile at all the girls whatever their hair colour and that usually makes them smile back.
My Hair Was Never It's Original Colour For Over 40 Years......And Yes I Dyed It Blonde......As If You Haven't Already Guessed..... Cheers Glen.
