He knows everything. He is very righteous and a true Christian. And totally not full of himself. Just holier than thou. Yet birthdays are self-centered. A day of happiness and celebration, bringing people together, sharing joy and all that - it's all very wrong and self-centered. There might be alcohol there too, God save us all.
He's a troll and poser. Jehovah Witnesses evangalize in favour of their religion. This guy is not. In fact, im pretty certain most JW's who would take notice of his debates on here would tell him to quit it for the sake of not making them look like a pitiful bunch of fuckwits, or if he insists to go through with these troll attempts at least not in their name.
Given all the shit which may happen to one during the year, having a celebration for yourself once a year doesn't seem so self-centred to me. Or maybe others have an easier ride, idk.
Satanist say their birthday is their #1 celebration. Fill my ego, I am so important, worship me. A futile attempt at attention grabbing
jesus never pooped either. personally i don't care for birthdays either. i just can't get myself excited over something so meaningless. i don't really care if people want to celebrate their birthday, although i do have to restrain myself from hitting anyone who insists on celebrating their birthday week.
We don't celebrate ourselves. Our friends and relatives celebrate us. Jesus celebrated wedding feasts so he probably celebrated birthdays, too.
Agreed. I've always liked other people's birthdays more than my own. It is nice to go out of your way to make someone else feel really special one day a year, to show them you are grateful they were born. I'm sure Jesus would understand
sometimes. but i can't believe this is the case with the majority of people whose birthday is only celebrated because they spend the month leading up to their birthday telling everyone they come into contact with that their birthday is such and such day and everyone needs to celebrate it.
tolkin had a good idea for birthdays; (hobbit custom, if anyone's ever actually read the books), give stuff on them, because while you can never remember everyone else's, you can always remember your own.
