    Enter the Void

I actually tripped this movie before i saw it. Makes it more freaky.

    Animatrix.

It is a collection of several short animated films, done in different styles, and is a backstory to Matrix trilogy. Definitely interesting.

I don't know whether it is good for tripping or not, but I have a feeling it might be.

    Hope you like it :)

The Matriculated segment in this film is in particular amazing for altered states.

    Alkex Jodorosky
    El Topo

    acuarela,
oddly i did not see your post until after i posted .
Alex looks at the world differently, pleased people know he exists.
Kurasawa in just presenting the narrative gets to surreal with ease.

    Thanks!

I've only ever seen El Topo and The Holy Mountain and I keep meaning to watch Santa Sangre, but the timing is never right. He definitely has a very unique perspective and he's not afraid to go *there*.

When I said Akira I meant the anime film and not the Japanese director. I can never decide what I feel about him. I think I haven't watched the right movies to like him.

Perception is a subject in itself , what is real is another.
Media distorts what people see as reality.

beyond the media is culture , art and beauty, the media is not interested in beauty or in sensuality, conflicts with commerce.

I think Akira Kurarsawa is a film maker worth mentioning , her blends reality with what is not real.

    Also another,
    different film maker.
