his son actually plays in this group, the way of the groove, that comes here to the university and jams alot. i think jaco even went to our jazz school.
less claypool vic wooten the dude in led zeppelin has really sick bass lines expecilly in dazed and confused.
i wouldn't say one of THE best... but as far as my personal favorites go, i love leornard hubbard from the roots. those are some funky bass lines right there...
I gotta question for bass players here though my buddy, Hooker, said that bass players who don't play with picks hate bassists that do use picks. Why is that?
Tom Kennedy from the Dave Weckl Band isn't too bad either. He really gets into that fast walking Jaco stuff I'm mad that I forgot about JPJ. He's got to be the best blues bass player I've heard yet.
tipping point is way better than the last one, phrenology. i dunno what they were doing there. i think phrenology was like an experiment, but tipping point is much more hip hop oriented. i know you'll like it.
