Dead serious. It's part of the "anti-smoking" campaigne. I guess they feel young kids will take up smoking just because Paul McCartney is holding (not smoking, holding) a cigarette. Nevermind Snoop Dogg is known for smoking weed like mad, and kids love him. But Paul McCartney's cigarette is a travesty! Maybe because Paul is a legend, I don't know. But I think it's beyond stupid. I bumped the thread where it was mentioned. 'Abbey Road' is the subject.
Those evil eggmen!! Hmm. I'm wondering if I should post THE pic of John and Yoko in here, just to get people talking. Or maybe I shouldn't. I'd probably get in trouble. lol
Yeap. Only because someone needs to light a fire under this thread and get it going. There's gotta be more Beatles fans here than just us! Then again...that pic would probably steer people away from this thread. And that would be bad!
LOL! I was just thinking about the butcher/doctor/meat/baby pieces album cover. That's morbidly nasty. But I can't help chuckling at the sight of it. You can tell Ringo doesn't know what the hell's going on.
Aaah, I just love The Beatles. I grew up on them so it would be weird not to like them, there great. My favorite album must be A Hard Days Night, just plain swinging songs, most people find it too popish, I love it! My favorite song is probably While my Guitar Gently Wheeps, but it changes almost every week...
Have you seen "A Hard Day's Night"? I'm sure you have. Excellent movie! I love "Little Ringo". And his big nose! And Paul's grandfather. And John's bathtub scene... I love the whole thing!
I'm gonna see Paul McCartney in a few weeks. He's probably my least favourite Beatle, but he still did some songs I really like....
Basically it's a (fictional) day in the life of The Beatles. They basically run a muck and act silly. Ringo gets arrested. It's pretty funny. You know, if you want...and this might be a stretch...I could email it to you. I've got the whole movie downloaded onto my computer. But it's a huge file. HUGE. I don't even know if I'd be able to send it through email, and it'd probably take a while since I have dial-up, but...I can try. If you want, that is. It's really good!
LUCKY! Paul is my least favorite, too, but I'd jump at the chance to see him in concert. Did you hear how someone called the cops on Paul because his bass was disturbing the peace? He was rehearsing for his show, and some 67 year old guy who lived nearby got pissed because it was too loud. This happened last week I think. LOL
