I kinda disagree with that. The best teachers teach you how to think. That is what I got out of school.
no one should teach anyone how to think that is what is destroying innovation no one thinks outside the box anymore.
Not necessarily what to think, but how to use your own knowledge, the knowledge of others, the knowledge found in other sources, the knowledge of life experiences. How to use this knowledge to find a possible solution, answer or the way forward. Schools and good teachers don't teach you how to think in a box but rather to take all of the information you can gather and use this to find the answer. This is what schools teach you
i agree that is how schools should be but very few actuality are. for me though school sucked i love to learn things but all school taught me was how to study to pass a test not how to retain that knowledge.
That may be the difference between high school and higher education and a fallacy of our public education system. Free thinking should be encourage from day one and standardized test should be a thing only for a museum.
agreed for me in this day of having most of the worlds knowledge at our finger tips i dont see much point in public school past teaching kids how to read basic math. because once someone has the basics the computer can do the rest
I don't agree with you on this. We do need a thorough understanding of math and sentence structure, and physics and so forth. The details can always be found on the web, but we need to understand how it works as well
yes some of use do need to know that but there is a huge portion of society who never use those things in their life. other than needing to know how to balance a check book or count change a lot of peoples need for math ends their. And for someone like me who hated math in school i was always a at best d student in math. Because i cant learn anything unless i see a use for it in my life. but once i was an adult working in places were their was a hands on need for higher level math i could learn it fast. Not all people are the same and schools teach their students as though they fell from a cookie cutter
That is why standardized test should be a thing of the past. Learning and educations should be tailored more for the individual and less for the test scores. But regardless of where you started or where you end up the basic understanding of how things work is essential. For example carpenters use Pythagorean theorem frequently to square up a building
yes as a carpenter myself i understand that but i never learned how to do that math in a class room i learned it with a tape measure in hand on the job. without completely rebuilding our education system from the ground up and retraining our teachers. we will never have tailored education.
Which means pythagorean theory should be taught as part of carpentry rather than as an abstract concept : ) That would have worked better for me, anyway. I learned nothing in math, beyond the basics.
I don't disagree with it being taught in a carpentry class and I"m sure it is. And yes our educations system would need to be completely rebuilt in order to accommodate tailored learning, but maybe it is time to start doing this. Now we can't forget the sexist end of this either, so I post this to make sure we include the objectifying of women and their boobs.
thanks for that. that is also a failing of schools and society we teach it is wrong to objectify women witch is total bull shit we are all sex objects our biology demands us to objectify one another. we can not over ride basic biology with PC. bullshit. O but god forbid i look at a woman's body and get hard as im programmed to do. No different than the amount of females that i have caught looking at the bulge in my pants it is only natural to look and shouldn't be discouraged
We do talk about sex and masturbation as being a natural and beautiful thing but when we talk or oogle a nice pair of tits we are accused of being sexist and yes I get it. Women are not just sex objects and while I may have a cock it doesn't mean it does all of my thinking . So somehow we need to find the balance between boobs and brains.
true my cock doesn't control me but i wont apologist even when talking to a woman on an intellectual level the site of her body may cause my cock to respond it doesn't mean i'm going to jump her but it is a natural reaction. And i am sick of being told men are villeins just for getting horny. we better hope both sexes continue to get horny or we are done as a species
I actually kinda care what most people think. It is kinda of a fallacy of being me. While I am concerned with me being me I do care what others think and their perception of me and who I am
I would like to marry someone with big boobs. I am turned on very, very badly when I see big boobs, not to mention how worse I would be if I was touching (natural ones, of course).
