I don't drive much either, but then, I'm under quarantine/lock-down/Shelter in place/Martial Law/Covid-19. I've had the same gasoline in the tank for over a month now, that hasn't happened in years. Gasoline is $1.59/Gallon, a price I have not seen in 20 years.

As boobs go, I was told that smoking marijuana gave men breasts. So I tried it for decades, no boobs. I eventually had to get married to get a pair!

 

ya, the pric3 of gas here has not been seen in like 40 years. It is half what it was almost. 68 cents a litre. I miss the imperial gallon. We got screwed switching to metric. Everybody in the US did as well. Particularly anyone who drinks. Liquor used to come in a 5th of a gallon bottle. Which comes to 757ml. When they switched to metric, the bottle went to 750ml, but the price didn't change.

At the time liquor companies tried to suggest it was because they were having to re-bottle their stock, but this was a lie. The product is what they are selling, not the bottle.

Oh I recall. They attempted to sell gas by the liter in the US. In fact, I think gasoline is where metric mania finally ground to the halted state we're in now. I bet we could go to metric now and few would complain, but back in the 70s it was almost seen as heretical.

 

it is really confusing here in many aspects for measurements. We were using the imperial gallon, which was used in the uk and commonwealth countries, Pierre Trudeau wanted to do away with all association to the uk. Imperial measurement. Anyways, it was enforced from 1970 -1985, Trudeau’s reign. He started a metric commission. Everyone was confused, planes actually crashed here and ran out of gas mid flight.
Weights are still listed in pounds for foods, pounds and kg are used for peoples weights. Babies born are in pounds and ounces still. Inches are used still in measuring of woods, metal, etc. Agriculture for wheat and stuff still uses imperial bushels, print work as well still uses inches as well.

in 2005 they returned to teaching kids imperial measurements in schools.

when I was in school it switched and the teachers were just as confused, left us all confused.

the metric commission no longer exists.

 

But back to boobs and brains. Lol. Women with boobs have brains. That would be every woman. doesnt make them smart though. But I will say some can use them to support the book they are reading.
