Come along and share some of those broken dreams you've had in your life while supping your favorite tipple - tell all or tell only a little ! my first broken dream looking back goes to my final year in high school. I had started dating a girl in a class in one form lower. She really had the wraps for me but I probably was a bit cautious and didn't fully reciprocate. but I did make some effort even battling heavy storms to get through to her on my trusty bike! we walked along the canal walkways - sat cuddling in the deserted fields but never ventured into town at all. she was an only child and dad was a bit suspicious of me and he was the owner of a local business, which I could have eventually moved into had I lasted. more later but do join in! cheers - mines guiness and champagne!
You can't fake professional wrestling when its already fake, and nobody can screw you like a porn star!
I have drunk at bars all over from UK/HK/SE Asia/Europe and OZ - you just have to make sure ya gettin an authentic drink that either isn't laced or diluted. Bar chat same all over - the loners - the dreamers - the freeloaders and the broken hearts - it's just fun time!! I drank with a ships engineer in HK at the Mariners Bar [or at least one of them] - he was lonely, told me he had a Japanese wife in Japan waiting for him to come home. I felt like inviting him home for a meal - I lived just up the cliff face - 10 mins by car - I should have I think but didn't. Could have got bigger and better or worst!
Bar of Broken Dreams...Loser's Lounge...Deep Dive...I've spent far too much time in such establishments. They're proof that misery loves company! I believe in empathy but let's face it, one way to lift your spirits is to see someone worse off than you!

Many of us have broken dreams - doesn't mean they're negative - they are just experiences in life to learn from and move on !
you sound like a broken record - nothing is broken and so you want to break something - let this lady try the straight jacket on - the pearl studded one with fur trimmings!
I broke my elbow in London. Does that count. It was two years ago, I am still waiting on the court decision! I might come and see you. X Oh I got stuck in a broken elevator once in Spain.
did you ever dream of being a tennis player for example and your elbow fracture broke this dream? I think waiting 2 yrs is wrong and is a broken dream of the efficiency of the British legal system - do you have enough money to go private for example - obviously you removed yourself from the broken elevator in Spain - but did that break any dreams you had about your holiday in Spain - you see there is much to discuss!
You know about this court case. It is London council dragging it out! As for the elevator it was years ago. I just remembered, I also got stuck in an elevator in New Orleans! Stupid cards you need, I de-activated mine as it was next to my mobile phone.
My next broken dream was the lovely lady from Jamaica ! - a glistening godess who wanted everything too quickly - she was with the second wave recruited to 'man' those industries that the brits weren't interested in - I just can't remember how our golden bodies came together now but it must have been instant craving! more later
