Well the US tour is over and they won't be touring again for over a year. She just got her Social Security money and she wants the both of us to go on a trip,so we figured it would be cool to try to plan our vacation around that.

 

The question is... Does SHE like Green Day?

sounds like fun though... I haven't been to a concert in years now. I'm so damn picky though... if I don't know I like the band ahead of time I won't bother going

 

Not at all, thinks they're a bunch of chumps, but she's in the mindset that she wants to do whatever we can together until she gets too sick.

 

Last concert I went to was Hanson, I was 9.

 

Oh, god.... Total age gap now kickin' in...... *feels old*

 

And you didn't feel old that when you were in high school I was in diapers.

 

hah, my last concert was the Arrogant worms, when I was abou 12 or 13. Hilarious though.


hmmmm... why not make the vacation be about something both of you like then? I mean, Green day will tour again, and this is supposed to be about mom-daughter time right?

 

Well, the first time I heard about Hanson was after I turned 20, so you get the idea... lol

 

Yeah, I know, I seem like a totally selfish child. We'll probably take a cruise or go somewhere we've never been. She just keeps telling herself that this about me because either way these will be things we won't be able to do soon, and she's experienced so much when I haven't.

 

oh no, I'm not trying to say your selfish, but... I'd rather go hit some museums and neat coffee shops, find some amazing sushi places and visit a jazz concert or two with my mom than ask her to go to something she won't necessarily enjoy (such as a BEP concert, or PJ Harvey, or somesuch artist she's never heard of). But if you make sure pretty much everything else on the vaca is about the two of you, it should go over fairly well still n'est pas?

 

Of course. I think in a way she's trying to show up my dad, he's taking all of us to Europe including his new girlfriend and her son. It'll be me, my sister, brother inlaw, dad, and his girlfriend and son. So she wants us to have something like that too. We're talking now about England, cause we both would love to go there.

 

I know a great coffee shop and a really nice sushi place in... Now, that'd be giving away too much.

well, you seem like a bit of a Toronto boy to me, but I could easily be wrong. Not a big deal anywho
