Well, according to her lots of people wouldn't... she's a mess. She doesn't think she's all that special, no matter how often I try to impress upon her how amazing she is. She's gotten much better over the years though. I have at least persueded her to believe that I do find her quite attractive... the rest of the world? I'm still working on making her believe that.

Aww, she's gorgeous, it sucks that she thinks like that about herself.

Gorgeous women are often like that, though. It's like, we can tell them a million times that they are so great, and they still manage to bash themselves. It's a shame really.

Well she was teased as a child because she was overweight. She obviously isn't now and hasn't been since sophomore year in high school, but that shit stays with you. I'm finally getting through to her. She's at the stage where she's wearing sexy stuff on occasion, but she still prefers the lights to be off in bed - not insisting, but prefers. She's getting over it. I just think she's gorgeous, obviously, so I find ways to show her what she looks like to me and others.

To achieve greatness, I must do my best to stay true despite the temptation that surrounds me at times...

And hey... birds swoon don't they?

Isn't Swoon the plural of Swan? heh...

Kids can be sweet, but they can also be cruel... I only wish everyone can learn to accept one another regardless of appearance, race, status, etc... But this world just isn't perfect. How unfortunate... *sigh*

No doubt. My words to her were about how kids don't know any better. They are fragile little egos so they find ways to make themselves look better and the easiest way to do that is by finding fault with others. I told her that the kids that remember picking on her would more than likely regret it today. But bottom line: Who cares how someone feels about you when you haven't so much as seen them since grade school? The ones who's opinions should matter to you are those you love.

Exactly Hacker! I was teased a lot in elementary school and still occasionally today for being overweight, but it doesn't matter what any of those people think.

Don't worry, those clueless that like to point out what they consider to be faults are going to have too many of their own to deal with at one time or another. We really should be feeling sorry for them, and hoping they find whatever it is that will make them feel adequate. It's sad really.

I just keep telling myself that most of them are going to get nowhere in life and someday I will be getting fast food and they'll be ringing me up.

You'll feel that way for a while, but if you really dissect it, it's sad. Because deep down inside whether they care to admit it or not, they are hurting inside. They feel they are inadequate in one way or another, and they need to find a way to make themselves feel better. It's just sad.

    Therapy. It's my anti-drug.

    heh...

Yeah, because what else would make someone feel like they have to belittle others. I could never imagine getting my kicks from beating someone else down.
