Could this be a case of parallel universes? I am you, you are me :D

I find it interesting that after almost 30 yrs, it is still there and visible.

A lot of well off business men supported him in America. It just became unpopular to to do it. My favorite examples are Henry Ford and Walt Disney. Disney had Hitler's personal cartoonist visit and Ford got an award from Hitler.

sounds like you pulled a play from the "Dumb and Dumber" playbook and just give the directions. Did you give the right directions? haha

Your dog at least tried to get them to 'stay'. :D

Life is funny...in the past several weeks I've found myself reading 3 different books that involved Nazis, the Holocaust and such.

That we in the US basically stood by and did nothing for as long as we did is incomprehensible to me.

Yet we now invade countries because we somehow feel we need to police them, when we obviously don't really have it right here, at home.

    The Holocaust was different, though....

Hitler had serious occult interests. It has occurred to me any number of times he was willing to take help and power however he could.

I sincerely hope he is "getting" his just rewards.

England was asking for help for a while too. Today we just butt in but back then we had an ally requesting it. I think it was really Hitler breaking his treaty with Russia and loosing all the men and equipment in the Soviet winter that won the war. Even with America Germany's hold on Europe was too strong. Hitler would have needed years to actuly take the Island of Britain and not just bomb them daily their navy was too strong but I think he could have done it eventually.

yeah but was that during the early '30's when he was actually doing a lot of good for Germany or was it during the war?

    BIG difference.

I find it nothing short of amazing that a country as physically small as Germany has held the power it has, and does to a certain degree.

When I first began hearing of this place (about 100 yrs ago), this European area that I hadn't seen on a globe or a map...nothing showing a comparison to other countries, I imagined a country of some size. Like Russia has SIZE...

When I saw and found out Germany's size...well, I still find it surprising.

Before the war but they were aware of his feelings on Jews. Back then it was acceptable to dislike them no one wanted to put him camps like him. Disney was famous for being antisemitic. The Bush family was caught laundering money for Germany. That is why I was amazed when the son and grandson of that Bush both managed to be president running on the idea they were true Americans. It never even got brought up by the other party. But that was where the money was at the time and above all that is who a good bussiness men is loyal to.

Canada is bigger than the states?

I thought they were about the same size for some reason; but much more wild, virgin land.
