The Aristochats

Well, NASCAR is in Darlington, SC now - my old stomping grounds. I've been to that particular place for NASCAR races a number of times, in my other life.

I want my boy (Jeff Gordon) to do well. The brickyard is a hard track, and he has won 7 times, if I'm not mistaken.

So here's to Jeff's success tonight.

 

Watching Mr.robot. it just got intense.

 

I'm recording this at the moment but won't be able to watch until well after the race and I'm going out hustling pool in the morning/afternoon so it'll be a while until I get to watch.

So please NO SPOILERS people.
I don't think the anyone cares enough to spoil it for me, but if I don't say anything ol' Murphy will come along and someone will say something.

 

The cars are going round and round, in a circle. As usual.

That track is so fucking flat. I never noticed how flat it was before. The drivers can only use the outer edge of it.

i had no idea but his uncle is 101.. he turns 102 in january.

 

OMG! Does he talk and remember and (most importantly) I want to know can he hear?! Does he get around on his own?

Am I asking too many questions?

 

Yes he gets around on his own. He has a walker, but his legs still working.

 

I need to call grandpa and ask him if the age is correct, cause i just heard form a family member he is 102 turing 103..

hopefully gpa answers.

Today Mama told me she wants me to get her some Blackberry Wine. She said the stuff I like (merlot) is too strong. :rofl:

She will take 2 swallows (I'm serious) and that is all and ONLY before eating dinner.

I'm always scared she's going to fall, even though she walks without aide. I wish she would use at least a cane sometimes; but, she says that would "make me look old". lol

 

My great grandma, she died at 100 when i was 16. She raised me for a time, i never went to preschool or kindergardden.

She fell in her late 90's scared my mom strait.

i miss her, her grave is 150 yards away from my house...

 

yes i live next to a graveyard...

 

My mother in law says she's never tasted alcohol in her life.

 

I'm very familiar with Darlington layout.

It is an egg shape, been reconfigured so the old back stretch is the new front stretch. The lady in black. If you're trying to race too hard on the outside you're in the wall. Can barely fit two cars side by side. At times, the fastest way to race a car is let them by so you don't hold each other up. But the groove isn't flat at all, I think it's 20+ degrees of banking.

 

I see that. The inside part is flat, so nobody uses it.

I watched the IRL last weekend at Pocono. I love that big triangle! It's a super fast track.
