But they are still elected by the people, we did not elect the Queen as the Head of State and we didn't elect the peers to sit in the House of Lords. Another big difference I have noticed is the issue of Homosexual relationships in the political arenas in the U.S/U.K. All of the Republican Party Candidates aiming for the nomination were all anti-gay marriage and as far as I know Obama is all for gay relationships but not gay marriage. In the U.K however all the main political parties have for the most part accepted Homosexual marriages (or Civil Partnerships as they are known over here). Of course the polls show that the populations of the U.S and U.K are pretty much both pro-gay marriage. ..........oh and Cricket, the Americans just don't get it!.
It's over most people's heads, I think. Despite being made to play it at school, I never really understood the rules. Over-complicated, boring to watch and boring to play. .
