My personal opinion - Jefferson would have been all but tarred and feathered and run out of the good ole' USA on a rail today...well, when Bush was in anyway. (AND he most certainly would have been put in stocks or similar in the McCarthy era)

Why do distinguish and say, "when Bush was in office?" Obama is just as bad, if not worse than Bush. The only difference is skin color and upbringing. They both work for the banks ultimately.

I do partially agree though, Jefferson and Washington would be rolling over in their grave if they could see the country they founded today. But they wouldn't "run out" on the USA, they would stop paying taxes to the government and reignite 1776...

Well, even tho' they both (I see now :p) do basically work for the banks, there was just so much more talk of being anti-American if one was against the war than since Obama has been in office. In fact, if a person disagreed in the slightest with anything Bush, you were labeled anti-American. I just haven't seen that with Obama - tho' I'm surely not saying he's been perfect, working for the banks and all. He DOES "say" (read that pretend) he wants the rich to pay higher taxes and is more for "middle America". I'm still waiting on that proof.

And I agree both Jefferson and Washington would be starting one hell of a revolution, imo, in these days and times.

Too much (of everything) is in the hands of too few. period. Athletes, as unpopular as this is, are WAY WAY overpaid...but fans go along with it and that is that, plus I digressed. :mickey:

He also said he will be "the whistle blowers best friend," yet, Bradley Manning is still locked up, facing death, for expose our countries war crimes. The worse part about Obama, is he has been able to shut up mostly all the liberals and democrats. They think that when one opposes him or his actions, they are automatically brain-washed republicans. When in all reality, his administration has been in the wrong time and time again.

Political dissent against Obama, is offensive and wrong, (to many of the same people who hated Bush.) However imo, Obama=Romney=Bush. There is no significant difference, or really any difference at all. (except the political rhetoric and propaganda.)

Everyone needs to give up on the system, and stop thinking that one person is going to make right, all the wrongs, of the past 200 years. It's possible but not probable. Maybe Obama really once believed, in ending the wars and restoring prosperity to the united states. However 4 years after getting into office, it is obvious that he has become one of the biggest puppets of the banksters.

I personally think Ron Paul would be the best choice...but that's just me.

I haven't really thought about it as you've put it.^...not saying you're wrong...but Lord have mercy...Romney scares me and makes me sick at the same time. I just don't (and didn't) feel ALL those reactions with any other candidate or past president.

People in general think the President has a lot more power than he really does...imo. And yes, unless they are Terribly Strong, they all wind up being puppets (again, jmo).

I am embarrassed to say I haven't thought about Bradley Manning, but isn't the military in on that, too? So, wouldn't Obama be just one voice among many in that situation? I'm honestly curious, and well as it also just makes me sick that "they" are still keeping him jailed.

I think Ron Paul is the best choice aswell. To answer your question though, yes and no. If Obama we're to openly oppose the imprisonment of Bradley Manning, the military and the federal government would have to do something to fix it. Media attention is what they don't want. That's why they tried to play it off like Bradley Manning was a "terrorist."

It's true the president doesn't have too much power, but they have the power to alert the American people as to the facts. The government has constructed a tightly knit web of lies, which protects the military industrial complex's power over our government. The bankers, oil industries and, other businesses, have controlled America's government at least since John Fitzgerald Kennedy. (and most likely several decades before that aswell.) They didn't suddenly vanish in the past 4 years, they are still manipulating the actions of our government.

Just one voice? Dude he's the Commander in Chief. The military ultimately answers to him.
